Proclaiming a Road-line laid off in Blocks I and II, Kaeo Survey District, North Auckland Land District, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the tenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, duly laid off as a road-line in pursuance of sections four hundred and seventy-eight, four hundred and seventy-nine, and four hundred and eighty-two of the Native Land Act, 1931:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of subsection two of section four hundred and eighty-seven of the said Act:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2729, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2879, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of September, 1940.

Road traversing Native Land proclaimed as a Public Road in Block X, Kidnapper Survey District, Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the road described in the Schedule hereto traverses Native land:

And whereas the Native Land Court, by an order made on the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-one, and issued pursuant to section four hundred and eighty-four of the Native Land Act, 1931, ordered and declared the said road to be a public road:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that it is in the public interest that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands in terms of section four hundred and eighty-six of the Native Land Act, 1931:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four hundred and eighty-seven of the Native Land Act, 1931, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 17 perches.

Being portion of Waipuka No. 2 Block (closed road), Block X, Kidnapper Survey District. (S.O. plan 349, green.)

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/2692, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2880, and thereon coloured blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of September, 1940.

Crown Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—BOROUGH OF DANNEVIRKE.
Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 6616, Hawke’s Bay Registry, being Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, and part Sections 1 and 10, Block II, Town of Dannevirke: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 12·23 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of September, 1940.

Land set apart as Provisional State Forest declared to be subject to the Land Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Lands, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being part of Provisional State Forest Reserve No. 1683, set apart by Proclamation dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and gazetted on the eighth day of May of that year, is required for settlement purposes; and, in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest, and shall become subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area containing 28 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, being part Reserve 1683, provisional State forest, and being part Section 2575, situated in Block IX, Karangarua Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 2575, Block IX, Karangarua Survey District, and proceeding generally in an easterly direction along the north-western boundary of the said Section 2575 to its intersection with the western side of the Copland Road; thence generally in a southerly direction by the western side of the said Copland Road to its junction with the eastern side of a road along the bank of the Karangarua River; thence generally in a northerly direction by the eastern side of the said road to the point of commencement.
