Taking of Fish for Sale.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from D. Mackay, Island Bay, for a license to take fish for sale at Island Bay by means of the 15 ft. motor-boat “Seagull” using set-nets.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 19th September, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from C. Franks, Gisborne—
(1) For a license to take fish for sale by means of the 88 ft. trawler “Gosford” (to be reconditioned) using trawl-nets in Poverty Bay waters; and
(2) For a Fish Wholesaler’s License in respect of premises at 121 Peel Street, Gisborne, the catches of the “Gosford” to be handled through such premises only, and to be marketed outside the Gisborne district.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 26th September, 1940.

Fisheries Industries.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from Mitson, Bell, and Company, Public Accountants, Dunedin, on behalf of a company to be incorporated—
(1) For the consent of the Bureau of Industry to the transfer to the company of the Fish Wholesaler’s License held by W. G. Robertson in respect of premises at Richardson Street, Dunedin, and, in the event of this application being granted, for permission to use in addition to the premises covered by the license at present held by W. G. Robertson, premises to be reconditioned and extended at Beach Street, Port Chalmers; and
(2) For a Fish Exporter’s License.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th September, 1940.

Public Notice under the Stock Act, 1908, re Anthrax.—

Department of Agriculture,
Wellington, 5th September, 1940.

IT is hereby notified for public information that, as anthrax has been determined to exist thereon, each of the areas of land described in the Schedule hereto has been declared to be an infected place in pursuance of section 12 of the Stock Act, 1908.

SCHEDULE.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 102 acres 2 roods, approximately, being part of Allotment 152 of Suburban Section 3 of the Parish of Opaheke (Lot 2 on Deposited Plan No. 16164), Allotment 53, and part Allotment 13 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, bounded: To the east by School Road, 1837, 1930, and 290 links; to the south by part of Allotment 52 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, 3513·3 links; to the west by the Great South Road, 1183·8 and 1331·5 links; to the north and west by part of Allotment 13 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, 1000 and 903·4 links; to the west again and to the south by Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 14630, being part of Allotment 13 afore-mentioned, 284·5 and 75 links respectively; to the west by part of Allotment 13 aforementioned, 329·7 links; to the north by the Bombay–Paparata Road, 444·9 links; to the east by parts of Allotment 13 aforementioned, 200 and 702·4 links; to the north and west by part of Allotment 13 aforementioned, 604·5 and 588·5 links respectively; to the west again by Lot 1 on Deposited Plan No. 16164, being part of Allotment 152 of Suburban Section 3 of the Parish of Opaheke, 397·4 links; to the north by the Bombay–Paparata Road, 398·3 links; be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Ax. 1, deposited in the Department of Agriculture, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

All that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 37 acres 1 rood and 36 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment 13 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, bounded: To the east by Lots 3 and 4 on Deposited Plan No. 7, being parts of Allotment 151 of Suburban Section 3 of the Parish of Opaheke, 1858 links; to the south, west, and south again by parts of Allotment 13 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, 1918, 246·97, and 260·61 links respectively; to the west by the Great South Road, 961 and 325 links; to the north by part of Allotment 13 of the Parish of Mangatawhiri, 2570 links; be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on a plan marked Ax. 2, deposited in the Department of Agriculture, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
