Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

Fish Retailing.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from Mrs. D. Sweet for a license to carry on the sale by retail of cooked fish at premises at 263 Coutts Street, Rongotai, Wellington.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 5th September, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and (where applicable) include a statement showing the average monthly turnover of the business of the person making the representations, and the extent to which it is considered the granting of the application would affect such turnover.

Taking of Fish for Sale.

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been received from—

(1) A. A. Kinley, Matata, for a license to take fish for sale at Matata by means of the fishing-vessel “Daisy” using long and hand lines.

(2) R. Hannagin, Motueka, for a license to take fish for sale at Motueka by means of the fishing-vessel “Morpawk” using set and drag nets and long and hand lines.

(3) R. J. W. Turner, Waiua, French Pass, for a license to take fish for sale at French Pass by means of the fishing-vessel “Relief” using set and drag nets and long and hand lines.

(4) Robert Scott, Tangimoana, for a license to take fish for sale at Tangimoana by means of the 21 ft. 6 h.p. vessel “Ailsa.”

(5) C. Dawson and A. H. Howard, Wanganui, for licenses to take fish for sale at Wanganui by means of the 30 ft. vessel “Lady Ruth” using hand lines.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of any of these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 12th September, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from the Foveaux Strait Oyster and Fish Supply Co., Ltd., Invercargill, for a license to commence to carry on the above industry at Invercargill.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 12th September, 1940.

Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 5th September, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and (where applicable) include a statement showing the average monthly turnover of the business of the person making the representations, and the extent to which it is considered the granting of the application would affect such turnover.

Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of section 188 (3) of the Mining Act, 1926, as amended by section 18 of the Mining Amendment Act, 1937, that, unless sufficient cause to the contrary is shown within one month from the date hereof, the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will be struck off the Register.
