THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven
of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act,
1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a
reserve for a site for a ladies’ rest-room and dental clinic to
a reserve for county purposes.
SCHEDULE.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 19·39 perches,
more or less, being parts of Section 78, Town of Urenui,
Block III, Waitara Survey District, bounded: Towards the
north by other part of Section 78, 200 links; towards the
east by Section 93, 60·6 links; towards the south by
Section 79, 200 links; and towards the west by Ngakoti
Street, 60·6 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
1913/121A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
pink.

Land permanently reserved in the Canterbury Land District for
an Addition to a Public School-site.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section
of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-
General may from time to time set apart temporarily as
reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held
under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion
are required for any of the purposes in the said section
mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of
the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved
under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at
the expiration of one month, but not later than six months,
after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary
reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such
permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was,
by the Warrant dated the eleventh day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and forty, and published in the Gazette of the
eighteenth day of that month, temporarily reserved under the
authority of the said Act for an addition to a public school-site:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve
the land described in the Schedule hereto for an addition
to a public school-site for which purpose the said land was so
temporarily reserved as aforesaid. (Greenstreet.)
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or
less, being part Rural Section 22285, Block VII, Westerfield
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-
east by the Alford Forest Road, 200 links; towards the south-
east and south-west by other part of Rural Section 22285,
500 links and 200 links respectively; and towards the north-
west by Reserve 1409, 500 links. As the same is more par-
ticularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/226A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 16th day of August, 1940.

Appointing a Member of the Auckland Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Harbours Act, 1923, I, George
Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Charles Abraham Barrell
to be a member of the Auckland Harbour Board, as a
representative of the electors of the Boroughs of Hamilton,
Cambridge, Te Awamutu, and Ngaruawahia, in the place of
Richard Thomas Reid, deceased, to hold office until the first
Wednesday in May, 1941.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 20th day of August, 1940.
