Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to the authority conferred on the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936, the following decisions in respect of applications for licenses were made on the 12th August, 1940.

J. C. Craighead, Christchurch To continue carrying on the industry of “the manufacture for sale of footwear” to the extent of manufacturing moccasins Granted.
Ideal Shoe Co., Wellington To continue carrying on the industry of “the manufacture for sale of footwear” to the extent of manufacturing men’s, boys’, youths’, girls’, and maids’ footwear and sandals, and using the machine-sewn, welted, fairstitch, pumps, and riveted methods Granted.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits.
H. A. McInnes, Tinwald.. To resell motor-spirits from one petrol pump at premises at Tinwald Declined.
Musgraves Services Ltd., Gisborne To move one petrol pump to new premises in Peel Street, Gisborne Declined.
Fish Retailing.
M. Matkovich, Auckland To engage in the industry of fish retailing by hawking in the districts between Auckland and Pukekohe Declined.
Sale by Wholesale of Fish.
P. and W. Watson, Napier Application for Fish Wholesaler’s License at Napier Granted.
Variations made to Previous Licensing Decisions.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
W. H. Wright, New Plymouth Declined an Industrial Fishing License on 18th December, 1939 Granted for long and hand lines only.
Manufacture of Soap.
Supreme Soap Ltd., Napier Declined an application on 4th June, 1940, for a license to manufacture sandsoap Bureau decision varied on appeal and license issued to company for manufacture of up to 120 boxes of sandsoap per annum.
