IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

TAKE notice that by resolution duly passed on the 1st day of August, 1940, Berkshire Textile Manufacturing Company, Limited, resolved to go into voluntary liquidation, and REGINALD DAVIS, of Palmerston North, Public Accountant, was appointed liquidator.
All claims against the company should be sent addressed to the liquidator, care of Barnett and Cleary, Solicitors, 23 Waring Taylor Street, Wellington, or care of P.O. Box 764, Wellington, C.1.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NORTHERN PRODUCTS, LIMITED, has this day resolved that it cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up.
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held at the company’s registered office, 39 Sandringham Road, Auckland, S.W.1, on Wednesday, the 7th August, 1940, at 1 p.m., at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of BROWN’S TERRACE CONSOLIDATED, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

TAKE notice that the final meeting of shareholders in the above matter will be held at the liquidator’s office, Commercial Bank Chambers (Board Room, 3rd Floor), 141 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Tuesday, the 27th day of August, 1940, at 12 noon.
The meeting is convened in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, for the purpose of laying before the meeting the account of the winding up and giving any explanation thereof.

WAIROA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE OF PROVIDE THE INTEREST AND OTHER CHARGES ON A LOAN OF £10,000 UNDER THE RURAL HOUSING ACT, 1939.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the Wairoa County Council under the above-mentioned Act and the Rural Housing Act, 1939, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny (1/20d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the County of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Wairoa County Council held in the Council Chambers, Wairoa, on the 1st day of August, 1940, and as appearing in the minutes of such meeting.
