538·7 links, bearing 86° 20′ distance 368·4 links, to the western boundary of Lot 8 on D.P. 27209 aforesaid; and thence in a southerly direction along the western boundary of Lot 8 aforesaid, to the south-western corner of that lot, the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/615A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Rangiora Survey District, Canterbury Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, change the purpose of any public reserve or any part thereof, and thereafter such reserve or part, as the case may be, shall be held and administered for such changed purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a recreation-ground for the people of Rangiora and its neighbourhood, and it is expedient to change the purpose of the reservation over the said land to a reserve for cemetery purposes:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of subsection one (a) of section seven of the said Act, declaring that the said reservation over the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be changed to a reserve for cemetery purposes.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 4427 (formerly part Rural Section 2673), Block VI, Rangiora Survey District: Area, 6 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or less.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time set apart temporarily as reserves, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-sixtieth section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-fifty-ninth section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrant, the date of which is specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notification of which was published in the Gazette specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
