PURSUANT to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Te Kaha Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of Native land in the Waiariki Native Land Court District situate in Blocks V, VI, IX, and X, Haparapara Survey District, and known as Lot 1 of the Ohetu 2b Block, containing 1,946 acres 2 roods 29 perches, more or less.

Notice restricting the Sale and Use of the Drug Sulphapyridine.
PURSUANT to the Medical Supplies Emergency Regulations 1939, I, Michael Herbert Watt, Medical Supplies Controller, do hereby require all owners of supplies of the drug 2-sulphanilamino-pyridine, more commonly known under the names “sulphapyridine,” “Dagenan-M. & B. 693,” and “M. & B. 693,” not to use, dispose of, part with the possession or control of, or otherwise deal with the said drug except in accordance with the following directions:—
(a) The drug shall not be used except for the treatment of human ailments;
(b) The drug shall not be sold by wholesale to any person except registered medical practitioners and registered pharmaceutical chemists;
(c) The drug shall not be sold by retail except pursuant to a prescription signed by a registered medical practitioner.

The Rural Intermediate Credit Act, 1927.—Appointment of District Intermediate Credit Supervisor and Chairman of District Boards and Appointment of Members to the Auckland District Board.
IT is hereby notified for public information that the Rural Intermediate Credit Board, acting in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon it by section 14 of the Rural Intermediate Credit Act and of paragraph 10 of the regulations made under the said Act and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 22nd December, 1927, and of all other powers it in that behalf enabling, has made the following appointments:—
Grant, Donald, Resident Officer of the State Advances Corporation at Palmerston North, to be District Intermediate Credit Supervisor for the Wanganui and Manawatu-Wellington Rural Intermediate Credit Districts and Chairman of the Waikato and Manawatu-Wellington District Rural Intermediate Credit Boards in succession to James Burton Boys, the appointment to take effect as from the 11th July, 1940.
Polf, Leo John, Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, to be a member of the Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to William David Armit, late Commissioner of Crown Lands, North Auckland.
Aldred, Maxwell, of Auckland, Farmer, to be a member of the Auckland District Rural Intermediate Credit Board in succession to the late John Edward Makgill, Company Director, Auckland.

Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Waikato County.—(Notice No. Ag. 3759.)

THE following special order made by the Waikato County Council on the 9th day of July, 1940, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, the Waikato County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plant known as pussy willow (Salix caprea) (being a plant mentioned in the Second Schedule to the said Act, as extended from time to time by the Governor-General in Council) is a noxious weed within the County of Waikato.
Plant declared to be a Noxious Weed in the Waipukurau County.—(Notice No. Ag. 3760.)

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and any amendments thereto, the Waipukurau County Council hereby resolves that gorse (Ulex Europæus), is declared a noxious weed as defined by the said Act, within the area under the jurisdiction of the Waipukurau County Council.
