Classification of Roads in Collingwood County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant classifying roads in New Zealand dated the 31st day of October, 1928, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 82 of the 1st day of November, 1928, at page 3144, in so far as it relates to the classification of roads in the Collingwood County, and does hereby revoke also that Warrant classifying a road in the Collingwood County dated the 2nd day of October, 1935, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 70 of the 10th day of October, 1935, at page 2824, and does hereby declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Collingwood County shall belong to the class of roads shown in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
COLLINGWOOD COUNTY.
ROADS classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on any one axle.
Main Highways.
Richmond–Collingwood Main Highway No. 103 (all that portion within Collingwood County).
Collingwood–Pakawau Main Highway No. 103.
Collingwood–Bainham Main Highway No. 159.
County Roads.
Bainham–19 Mile Creek Road.
Pakawau–Puponga Road.
Pakawau Bush Road.

Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers’ Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the person named in Column 2 of the First Schedule hereunder being a Testing Officer under the said regulations for the authorities specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule, and does hereby revoke the appointment of the person named in Column 2 of the Second Schedule as a Testing Officer for the authority specified in Column 1 of the Second Schedule.

Alteration: The light has been altered from flashing every 10 seconds to flashing every 5 seconds.

IN the Gazette of the 11th July, 1940, No. 72, page 1681, under the heading of “Decisions of the Bureau of Industry under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936,” and subheading “Fish Wholesalers’ Licenses,” notice was given that an application from Messrs. P. and W. Watson, Waghorne Street, Port Ahuriri, had been declined on the 8th July, 1940. This notice was given in error and should be deleted, the application not yet having been finally considered by the Bureau of Industry.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Fish Retailing.
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from I. W. Cain for a license to conduct the business of fish retailing at premises at Station Road, Manurewa, and to hawk fish in the Pakuranga, Papatoetoe, Wiri, Manurewa, and Takanini districts.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 8th August, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and (where applicable) include a statement showing the average monthly turnover of the business of the person making the representations, and the extent to which it is considered the granting of this application would affect such turnover.
