IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of Dowie's Dismantling Company, Limited (Dunedin).
A MEETING of creditors herein is called by the undersigned for Monday next, 1st July, at 2.15 p.m., at my board room here at 173 Stuart Street, Dunedin.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN THE MATTER OF THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1928, AND THE AMENDMENTS THERETO.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Whangarei, a body corporate, constituted under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, proposes to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, and its amendments, a perpetual right or easement 30-30 links wide from the reservoir-site at Maunu (being Section 1, Block XV, Furua Survey District, being the land contained in C/T. 255/78) for the eastern boundary of Maunu 1e 3b South No. 2 Block (being the land contained in C/T. 335/151) for the conduct of water, including the right to lay down pipes, repair pipes, and take up pipes upon, through, or under the said strip of land 30-30 links wide, and the right of ingress, egress, and regress to and from the said land, included in the said easement, with or without vehicles, workmen, and materials for the aforesaid purposes. The boundaries of the said easement being more particularly shown by the plan thereof deposited in the office of the Town Clerk at Whangarei. The said deposited plan showing the owners and occupiers of such land lies open for public inspection at the said office, where it may be inspected at all reasonable hours (without fee) and all persons affected shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such easement, set forth in writing such objections and send such writing, within forty days of the first publication hereof, addressed to the Town Clerk at Whangarei.

NOTICE is hereby given that the final meeting of shareholders at Theatre Tea Rooms, Ltd. (in liquidation), will be held at the office of the liquidator, 244 Queen Street, Auckland, on Monday, 22nd July, 1940, at 10 a.m.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, JOHN ROBERT MILLS NICHOLSON, M.B., Ch.B., 1940, Univ. of N.Z., now residing in Christchurch, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 11th April next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Christchurch.

MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand five hundred pounds (£10,500), authorized to be raised by the Masterton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of cleaning and concrete-lining the 10 in. and 12 in. mains from the reservoir to town and the 18 in. spiral steel main from the Upper Plain Reservoir to the intake, the said Masterton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight-twenty-fifths of a penny (8/25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value, of all rateable property of the special rating-area comprising the whole of the Borough of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of December and the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution is a correct extract from the minutes of the Masterton Borough Council passed at an ordinary meeting held on Tuesday, the 18th day of June, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed on the 29th June, 1940:—
“It is hereby resolved by way of special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and STANLEY GEORGE CHAMBERS, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”
Any persons considering they have claims against the company are asked to forward same within seven days to Chambers, Worth, and Chambers, Box 397, Auckland.
