Land taken for Defence Purposes in the Borough of Hamilton.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2·58 perches. Being part Allotment 451, Town of Hamilton West.

Situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District (Borough of Hamilton) (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 30852.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 107557, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of June, 1940.

Land taken for Housing Purposes in the City of Christchurch.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and section thirty-two of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for housing purposes; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:—

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the more effective carrying out of the drainage or other works authorized by the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and for the better disposal of Crown or other land within the district defined by the said Act; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.
