Parts of the Defence Forces called out for Military Service.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939, the Governor-General may by Proclamation call out the Defence Forces or any part thereof for military service:

And whereas, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Defence Emergency Regulations 1939, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf, do hereby call out for military service for purposes of defence in New Zealand, as from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty, the following parts of the Defence Forces, namely,—

All Non-Commissioned Officers below the rank of Sergeant not already called out by Proclamation of the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and forty, and all men, of the following units:—

1st Battalion, The Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own).

1st Battalion, The Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington’s Own).

1st Battalion, The Canterbury Regiment.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 24th day of June, 1940.

Land taken for a Recreation-ground in Block IV, Glenomaru Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a recreation-ground; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 2 roods 11 perches.

Being portion of Section 48, Block IV, Glenomaru Survey District (Otago R.D.). (S.O. G. 111.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 100459, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 20th day of June, 1940.

Land taken for a Native School in Block V, Waiawa Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a Native school; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 9 acres 3 roods 27 perches.

Being portion of Opape 3v Section 1b No. 2.

Situated in Block V, Waiawa Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 4088, blue.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106285, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of June, 1940.
