Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Ohinewairua Survey District, Wellington Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for the use of the Department of Agriculture: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for the use of the Department of Agriculture to a reserve for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Lots 1 and 2 of Section 82, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 36 perches, more or less.

Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Roxburgh Borough Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of a recreation reserve vested in the Roxburgh Borough Council under the provisions of the Roxburgh Reserve Management Ordinance, 1875:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Roxburgh Borough Council has duly consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Roxburgh Borough Council of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 10 acres 3 roods 13 perches, more or less, being Section 136 (formerly part of Section 33), Block II, Teviot Survey District, and bounded as follows: Towards the north-east by Teviot Street bearing 105° 15′ 62·7 links; towards the east generally by other part of Section 33 bearing 158° 08′ 457·0 links; bearing 166° 26′ 20′ 351·9 links; bearing 153° 47′ 30″ 502·5 links; bearing 197° 57′ 30″ 989·4 links; bearing 164° 33′ 20″ 361·3 links; towards the south by other part of Section 33, 261° 06′ 529·3 links; towards the west, north, and west generally by other part of Section 33 bearing 327° 28′ 143·6 links; bearing 9° 21′ 50″ 555·2 links; bearing 356° 14′ 40″ 1085·0 links; bearing 82° 59′ 20″ 521·8 links; bearing 346° 26′ 20″ 343·3 links; bearing 338° 08′ 491·2 links; be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 6/8/56, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Pahiatua Borough Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for cemetery purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Pahiatua:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Pahiatua, in trust, for cemetery purposes.

Sections 77 and 78, Pahiatua Village Settlement, Block XVIII, Mangahao Survey District: Area, 9 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less.

Vesting a Reserve in the Alexandra Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 19th day of June, 1940.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for municipal purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Alexandra:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Alexandra, in trust, for municipal purposes.
SCHEDULE.
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing 24·97 perches, more or less, being part Section 43 and part Section 44, Block II, Town of Alexandra, bounded: Towards the north-east by Crookhaven Street, 83·6 links; towards the south-east by other part of Section 43, 186·7 links; towards the south-west by Sections 4 and 3, 83·6 links; and towards the north-west by other part of Section 44, 186·7 links.
Also all that area containing 3 roods, more or less, being Allotments 3, 4, and 5, D.P. 5160, being subdivision of part Section 8, Block XXXVII, Town of Alexandra, bounded: Towards the south-east by Chicago Street, 300 links; and towards the south-west, north-west, and north-east by other part of said Section 8, 250·02 links, 300 links, and 250·02 links, respectively.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 41888A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
