Settlement Land in North Auckland Land District set apart for the Purposes of Part I of the Housing Act, 1919.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section nine of the Housing Act, 1919, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of land described in the Schedule hereto, being land acquired under the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900, shall be, and the same is hereby, set apart for the purposes of Part I of the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 46 acres, more or less, being part Allotment 15 (part Cadman Settlement) and parts Allotment 17 (part Carroll Settlement), Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, situated in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 30/228/1 “A,” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of June, 1940.

Settlement Lands in Nelson Land District proclaimed to be ordinary Crown Lands.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, as amended by subsection one of section ten of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1935, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any settlement land to be, inter alia, ordinary Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:
And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto are settlement lands within the meaning of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, and it is deemed expedient that the said lands shall cease to be settlement lands and become ordinary Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, amended as aforesaid, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be ordinary Crown lands available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT.—MARUIA SETTLEMENT.
Inangahua County.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 888 acres 1 rood, more or less, and being parts Sections 3S, 4S, and 5S, Maruia Settlement, Block IV, Rahu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S. 32/623 “A,” deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (Nelson plans S.O. 8412 and 9150.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of June, 1940.

Resuming Land for Drainage Purposes in Block XI, Tokatoka Survey District, North Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under the corresponding provisions of any former Land Act, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:
And whereas the land described in the First Schedule hereto forms part of land held under renewable lease from His Majesty the King, issued under Part III of the Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and amendments, dated the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-nine:
And whereas the land described in the Second Schedule hereto forms part of land held under renewable lease from His Majesty the King, issued under Part III of the Land Act, 1908, dated the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, the land mentioned in the First and Second Schedules hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for drainage purposes:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and thirty-five of the Land Act, 1924, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession as from the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty, of the land mentioned in the First and Second Schedules hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 31·2 perches, more or less, being part of Section 24, Block XI, Tokatoka Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/85A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. (S.O. plan 29289.)
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 38·4 perches, more or less, being part of Section 72, Block XI, Tokatoka Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 15/85A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue. (S.O. plan 29289.)
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of June, 1940.
