Classification of Road in Southland County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke that Warrant dated the 24th day of March, 1936, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 27 of the 2nd day of April, 1936, in so far as it relates to the classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto, and does hereby approve of the Southland County Council's proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Southland County.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND COUNTY.
ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle or any trailer which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5 tons on any one axle, or of any other heavy motor-vehicle which with the load it is carrying has an axle weight of not more than 5½ tons on any one axle.

Approval of Testing Officers under the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1940.
IN terms of Regulation 5 of the Motor-drivers' Regulations, 1940, the Minister of Transport does hereby approve, until further notice, of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being Testing Officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

NOTICE has been received under the hand of the Returning Officer for the purposes of the first election of members of the Southern Hawke's Bay Rabbit Board established under the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928, that

Hawerki Plains Rating District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates.

Wellington, 4th June, 1940.
IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1926, and the Hawerki Plains Act, 1926, the ratepayers within the District constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1940, unpaid on 2nd July, 1940.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office, or to the Collector of Rates, Private Bag, Auckland, C. 1.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Retail Sale and Distribution of Motor-spirits.
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from B. Grudnoff for a license to install one additional petrol pump for the retail sale of motor-spirits, such pump to be installed alongside an existing pump in a yard at the side of garage premises in Jellicoe Street, Te Puke.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th June, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and include a statement showing the gallonage throughput of petrol sold, and the nature of the business conducted by the person making the representations.

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been received from T. Yurjevich for a license to conduct the business of fish retailing at premises at 112 Thames Street, Oamaru.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau in respect of this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish such representations in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 20th June, 1940. All representations must set out clearly the grounds for same and (where applicable) include a statement showing the average monthly turnover of the business of the person making the representations, and the extent to which it is considered the granting of this application would affect such turnover.
