Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Akaroa Survey
District, Canterbury Land District.

GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
May, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is a reserve duly set apart for cemetery
purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose
of the reservation over such land shall be changed to
a reserve for recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a)
of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the
purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby changed from a reserve for cemetery purposes
to a reserve for recreation purposes.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2
roods 22 perches, more or less, being parts of Reserves
117 and 2547, Block VIII, Akaroa Survey District, and
bounded as follows: Towards the north-west by a
public road 141·6 links and 64·0 links, towards the
north generally by Beach Road, towards the east by
Reserve 88, 371.2 links and 297·65 links, towards the
south-east by other parts of Reserves 117 and 2547
aforesaid, 391·0 links, and towards the west by Reserve
2546, 604·7 links. As the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/596A, and
deposited in Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Cancelling the Vesting of Part of a Reserve in the Greymouth
Harbour Board.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
May, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
part of a reserve for harbour-endowment purposes,
and is vested in the Greymouth Harbour Board :
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said
land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the
Greymouth Harbour Board has duly consented to such
cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the
Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928,
doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Greymouth Harbour
Board of the land described in the Schedule hereto,
SCHEDULE.
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing 6 acres 1 rood 21·7 perches, more or
less, being part Reserve 1426, Block XII, Greymouth Survey
District, situated in the Borough of Greymouth, and bounded
as follows : Commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 33,
D.P. 415, and proceeding along the north-western side of
Coakley Street and by that line produced bearing 313° 09'
for 628·2 links to the old high-water mark of the Tasman Sea ;
thence along the said old high-water mark bearing 23° 13'
for 761·49 links; thence by lines bearing 122° 48' for 64·3
links, 68° 18' for 59·14 links, 125° 34' for 806·58 links, and
223° 09' for 187·49 links to the northern extremity of Collins
Street; thence bearing 223° 09' for 700 links along the
abutment of Collins Street and the north-western boundary
of Lots 28 to 33 inclusive, D.P. 415, to the point of commencement. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan
marked L. and S. 5381A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.

Vesting a Reserve in the Motueka Borough Council.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 29th day of
May, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCE THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been duly set apart as a reserve for cemetery
purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-
General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Mayor,
Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Motueka:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from
and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in
the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Mayor,
Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Motueka, in
trust, for cemetery purposes.
SCHEDULE.
NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods
20 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 145 and 146,
District of Motueka, Block IV, Motueka Survey District,
bounded as follows: Towards the north by part of Section
146 aforesaid; towards the east by part of Sections 146 and
145 aforesaid; towards the south and west generally by the
high-water mark of the Moutere Mudflat being the northern
and eastern boundary of part of Sections 145 and 146, Native
Reserves, District of Motueka, situated in Block IV, Motueka
Survey District aforesaid. As the same is more particularly
delineated on S.O. plan No. 9120, deposited in the office of
the Chief Surveyor at Nelson, and on the plan marked
L. and S. 2/617A, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Borough Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is a reserve for municipal purposes and
is vested in the Opunake Borough Council:
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the
said land as hereinbefore referred to should be
cancelled, and the Opunake Borough Council has duly
consented to such cancellation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authorities conferred upon him by
subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves,
Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby
cancel the vesting in the Opunake Borough Council of
the land described in the Schedule hereto.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
SECTION 12, Block XXXIV, Town of Opunake: Area,
l rood 0·3 perches, more or less.
