Notice of Intention to take Easements over Land in Blocks III and IV, Tokomaru Survey District, for the Purposes of Rights-of-way and for the Purpose of Laying Electric-power Lines.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, as amended by section 62 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1939, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the afforestation of certain lands to prevent soil-erosion—and for the purposes of such public work easements over the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken vesting in His Majesty the King full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to construct and use rights-of-way, with the right for His Majesty’s servants, agents, and workmen from time to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, repass, with or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the said lands and to maintain, repair, and keep open the said rights-of-way, and to erect, maintain, repair, and renew electric-power lines in, under, over, or along the lands aforesaid: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands over which easements are so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Tokomaru Bay and is there open for inspection; and that any person affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said easements should, if he has any well-grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such easements, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105929, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.
