HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointment, relinquishment, and transfer of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force:—

GENERAL DUTIES BRANCH.

Appointment.

Richard Akitio Armstrong is granted a temporary commission in the General Duties Branch in the rank of Pilot Officer (on probation) with seniority from 14th February, 1940. Dated 6th April, 1940.

Relinquishment.

Acting Pilot Officer William Green Thomson Brooks relinquishes his commission from 31st March, 1940. Dated 5th April, 1940.

EQUIPMENT BRANCH.—SECTION II.

Transfer.

Flying Officer Arthur Herbert Thomas Brazier (temporary Commission) is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Section I, Class B. Dated 5th May, 1940.

ERRATUM.

In the notice “Regular Air Force—Appointments,” published in Gazette No. 130 of the 19th October, 1939, at page 2727: “Arthur Thomas Orchard to be Flight Lieutenant, dated 1st October, 1939,” should read “Arthur Thomas Orchard is granted a Short Service Commission in the rank of Flight Lieutenant. Dated 1st October, 1939.”
