Notice of Intention to take Additional Land in Block III, Kapiti Survey District, for an Aerodrome.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the additional land described in the Schedule hereto for an aerodrome: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Paraparaumu, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 6 acres 3 roods 14·5 perches.
Being part Ngarara West B 4 Block.
Situated in Block III, Kapiti Survey District. (S.O. 20377.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105870, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block X, Waiapu Survey District, for a Native School.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a Native school: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Waiomatatini and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 7 acres 0 roods 3 perches.
Being portion of Herenga A 2 Block (formerly parts Herenga D 2 and L 3A 3 Blocks).
Situated in Block X, Waiapu Survey District (Gisborne R.D.). (S.O. 1617, brown.)
In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106307, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notice under the Enemy Trading Emergency Regulations 1939.—Freights.
I, DANIEL GILES SULLIVAN, Minister of Industries and Commerce, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by Clause (2) of Regulation (5) of the Enemy Trading Emergency Regulations 1939, do hereby authorize William Smith MacGibbon and Arthur Oman Heany, President and Secretary respectively of the organization known as the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, jointly and each of them severally to pay freight and other necessary charges to or for the benefit of an enemy trader on behalf of the owner of any cargo in a ship lying at a port in any country not being enemy territory for the purpose of obtaining possession of that cargo.

Notice under the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, as to the Control of certain Timber Materials.
NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance of the Supply Control Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Timber Emergency Regulations 1939, I hereby direct and require as follows:—
OREGON OR DOUGLAS FIR.
(1) No owner within the meaning of the said regulations of any Oregon or Douglas Fir shall use, sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of the same for any of the following purposes:—
(a) The construction of doors or of parts of doors;
(b) Panelling or interior finishing;
(c) House construction (except as provided in the next succeeding clause).
(2) Any owner may use, sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of any Oregon or Douglas Fir for any of the following purposes:—
(a) The manufacture of tanks or vats;
(b) Scaffolding (merchantable grade only);
(c) The manufacture of ladders;
(d) Ships’ hatches (merchantable grade only);
(e) Window sashes (kiln-dried timber only).
(3) No owner of any Oregon or Douglas Fir shall sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of the same to any other person, or shall use the same, for any purpose not specified in Clause 1 or Clause 2 of this notice unless:—
(a) The owner first receives an application duly completed by that other person, or (in the case of proposed use by the owner) himself duly completes an application, on a form approved by the Minister of Supply and provided for the purpose by the owner; and
(b) The application is approved by a person authorized in that behalf by the Minister of Supply; and
(c) The owner forwards all such applications to the Timber Controller, Box 1, Government Buildings, Wellington, or as he directs, or at such times as he directs.
REDWOOD.
(4) No owner within the meaning of the said regulations of any Redwood shall use, sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of the same for any of the following purposes:—
(a) The construction of doors or of parts of doors;
(b) Panelling or interior finishing;
(c) Weatherboarding.
(5) Any owner may use, sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of any Redwood for any of the following purposes:—
(a) The manufacture of tanks or vats;
(b) Window sashes.
(6) No owner of any Redwood shall sell, supply, dispose of, or part with the possession of the same to any other person, or shall use the same, for any purpose not specified in Clause 4 or Clause 5 of this notice unless:—
(a) The owner first receives an application duly completed by that other person, or (in the case of proposed use by the owner) himself duly completes an application, on a form approved by the Minister of Supply and provided for the purpose by the owner; and
(b) The application is approved by a person authorized in that behalf by the Minister of Supply; and
(c) The owner forwards all such applications to the Timber Controller, Box 1, Government Buildings, Wellington, or as he directs, or at such times as he directs.
RETURNS OF STOCKS AND SALES.
(7) Every person who on the last day of any month owns or holds not less than 5,000 board feet of Oregon or Douglas Fir, or not less than 5,000 board feet of Redwood, shall on that day forward to the Timber Controller, or as he directs, a return on a form approved by the Timber Controller and provided by the owner, showing details of the stocks thereof held at the end of the month, and of the sales and other disposals during the month, and such other particulars as may be indicated in the form.
