Notice as to the making of By-laws under the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933.—(Notice No. Ag. 3730.)
NOTICE is hereby given in pursuance of the Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Amendment Act, 1933, as amended by section 4 of the Statutes Amendment Act, 1936, of the making by the Kumeu District Agricultural and Horticultural Society on the 30th day of January, 1940, and of the approval by the Governor-General on the 13th day of March, 1940, of by-laws under the above-entitled Act, controlling the admission of persons to any place used or occupied by the said society for any meeting, show, exhibition, competition, or entertainment, held by the said society, which said by-laws came into force on the last-mentioned date. The by-laws made by the Feilding Industrial Agricultural and Pastoral Association on the 25th day of October, 1935, and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of November, 1935, at page 3383, are substantially the same as the by-laws made by the first-mentioned society.

THE following special order made by the Papakura Borough Council on the 26th day of February, 1940, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928.

SPECIAL ORDER.
“THAT pursuant to its powers under the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, and all or any other powers enabling it so to do, the Papakura Borough Council hereby declares all the plants mentioned in the Second Schedule of the above-mentioned Act to be noxious weeds within the Papakura Borough.”
Special Order made by the Manawatu County Council dissolving the Rongotea Town Board and merging the Town District of Rongotea in the County of Manawatu.

THE following special order made by the Manawatu County Council is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 27 of the Counties Act, 1920, the Manawatu County Council on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Rongotea Town District, resolves by way of special order that on and after the 1st day of April, 1940, the said Town District shall be merged in the County of Manawatu and the Board thereof abolished.
I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

Special Order made by Akaroa County Council merging Okains Bay Road District.

THE following special order made by the Akaroa County Council merging the Okains Bay Road District is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 27 of the Counties Act, 1920, the Akaroa County Council, on a petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Okains Bay Road District, resolves by way of special order that on the gazetting of this special order the said road district shall be merged in the County of Akaroa and the Board thereof abolished.
RESOLUTION.
“That the resolution passed as a special order at a special meeting held in the County Chambers at Duvauchelles, on Friday, 26th January, at 10.30 a.m., to merge the Road District of Okains Bay in the County of Akaroa and to abolish the Board thereof be confirmed.”
I, Colin Stewart, of Duvauchelles, County Clerk, hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block I, Whakatane Survey District, for the more effective carrying-out of the Drainage or other Works authorized by the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and for the better disposal of Crown or other Land within the District defined by the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the more effective carrying-out of the drainage or other works authorized by the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and for the better disposal of Crown or other land within the district defined by the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Whakatane and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
