Consenting to Land being taken for the Purposes of a Garden
in the City of Christchurch.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
April, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land
described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes
of a garden.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be taken :
15 acres 3 roods 33·8 perches.
Being part Rural Section 464.
Situated in Block XII, Christchurch Survey District
(City of Christchurch) (Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7123.)
In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. I06177,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Consenting to stopping Portion of Road in Block V, Matakoao
Survey District, Matakoao County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
April, 1940.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all
other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent
to the Matakoao County Council stopping the portion of
road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped: 2 acres 1 rood 27·1 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Wharakahika No. 11 Block.
Situated in Block V, Matakoao Survey District (Gisborne
R.D.). (S.O. 4060, blue.)
In the Gisborne Land District ; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 105518,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

to be Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 3rd day of
April, 1940.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become
Government road.
