ERRATUM.—In the “Notice under the Enemy
Trading Emergency Regulations 1939.—Declaration
of Enemy Traders” published in Gazette No. 23
of the 20th March, 1940, at page 460, directly above
the Schedule thereof insert “D. G. Sullivan, Minister
of Industries and Commerce.”

Change of Name of Locality “Pembroke” to “Wanaka.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS settlers in the locality known as “Pembroke,”
in the County of Lake, desire that the name of such
locality should be changed to “Wanaka,” and it is considered
expedient to alter the same:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by the Designation of Districts Act, 1908, and of all
other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the name of the locality
known as “Pembroke,” in the County of Lake, shall be and the
same is hereby altered to “Wanaka,” and do assign the last-
mentioned name to such locality accordingly; and also do
hereby proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall
take effect on the first day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and forty, not being earlier than six months after
the first publication thereof in the Gazette.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of
February, 1940.

Allocating Railway Land to the Purposes of a Road in
Block IV, Geraldine Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto (which was permanently reserved for
Railway conservation purposes by a notice published in
New Zealand Gazette, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
at page 50, but which is not now required for such purpose)
shall upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette
become road, and that such road shall be maintained by the
Main Highways Board in like manner as other public high-
ways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

In the Canterbury Land District ; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 103197,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 21st day of
March, 1940.
