Re-introduction of Regulations under Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations 1939.

PURSUANT to Regulation 40 of the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations 1939, the Minister of Supply doth hereby revoke as from the 31st day of January, 1940, the warrant under his hand dated the 30th day of November, 1939, and published at page 3186 of the Gazette of the same date whereby the application, operation, and requirements of certain regulations, being the regulations described in the Schedule hereto, were suspended until further notice, such revocation being to the intent that on and after the 1st day of February, 1940, all the said regulations shall be and continue in force according to the tenor thereof.

Dated at Wellington, this 25th day of January, 1940.

Land and Income Tax (Annual) Act, 1939.

INCOME-TAX PAYABLE.

BY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Governor-General in Council on the 13th day of September, 1939, under the authority of the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of income-tax, leviable under section 3 of the said Act, should be paid in one sum on Monday, the 12th day of February, 1940, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Wellington; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, I hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 4th March, 1940. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund.

The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 5th February, 1940. Demands must be presented with all payments, and taxpayers who expect a demand and do not receive one should notify me of the fact.

Prohibited Anchorage and Navigation Area.

Position: Hobsonville Wharf. Lat., 36° 47′ S.; long., 174° 40′.3 E. (approx.).

Details: Anchorage and navigation is prohibited within the area enclosed by lines extending 098° 3 cables and 112° 3 cables from the mouth of the creeks lying 3 and 6 cables respectively southward of the above wharf and a line approximately 600 ft. from high-water mark joining the end of these lines.
