NOTICE is hereby given that the parcel of land herein-
after described will be brought under the provisions of
the Land Transfer Act, 1915, unless caveat be lodged
forbidding the same within one calendar month from the date
of publication of the New Zealand Gazette containing this
notice:—

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the
Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
other charges on a loan of seven thousand six hundred
and forty-five pounds (£7,645), authorized to be raised
by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of making extensions and improve-
ments to the Levin Municipal Abattoir, the Levin
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of three-sixteenths (3/16ths.) of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin ;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, being a period
of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the following special
resolution was passed by the shareholders of the above-
named company on the 11th day of January, 1940 :—
“That the company be wound up voluntarily, and
that VERNON FRANCIS CRACKNELL, Public Accountant,
of Kaikohe, be, and is hereby appointed liquidator
for the purposes of such winding up.”
