DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL ON MONDAY, 11TH MARCH, 1940.
Resolution making special rate of one penny three-farthings (1¾d.) in the pound (£) as security for the interest and sinking fund and the repayment of the Public Works Loan, 1938, of £100,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000), authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of effecting improvements to the streets of the City, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny three-farthings (1¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the above-mentioned date.

Resolution making special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) as security for the interest and sinking fund and the repayment of the Waterworks Loan, 1938, of £50,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000), authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending and improving the waterworks of the City of Dunedin, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Resolution making special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) as security for the interest and sinking fund and the repayment of the Electricity Loan, 1939, of £26,300.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-six thousand three hundred pounds (£26,300), authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing funds to meet the cost of extensions of and additions to the Waipori Falls Hydro-electric undertaking and generally for the purposes of the Waipori Falls Electrical Power Act, 1904, the said Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the City of Dunedin, comprising the whole of the City of Dunedin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first (1st) day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
