Land taken for a Postmaster’s Residence in the Village of Murchison (Town of Hampden).

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a postmaster’s residence; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 39·3 perches. Being Lot 2, D.P. 1724, being part Section 40, Town of Hampden (sometimes known as Village of Murchison).
Situated in the County of Murchison (Nelson R.D.). (S.O. 9135.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106291, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 15th day of March, 1940.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for buildings of the General Government; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and forty.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Block XIII, Tauranga Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Otanewainuku Survey District—viz., Deviations of the No. 20 Matamata-Tauranga Main Highway.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Block XIII, Tauranga Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Otanewainuku Survey District—viz., deviations of the No. 20 Matamata-Tauranga Main Highway—shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land situated within two chains from such middle-line.

COMMENCING at a point on the existing No. 20 Matamata-Tauranga Main Highway approximately one chain east of the southernmost corner of Allotment 26, Te Papa Parish, Block XIII, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding thence in westerly and south-westerly directions generally for a distance of approximately 5 miles 60 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., Allotments 98 and 212a, Te Papa Parish; part Allotment 84 and Allotment 404, Te Papa Parish; part Lot 1, D.P. 8020, being Allotment 85a and part Allotment 85, Te Papa Parish; Lot 2, D.P. 8020, being part Allotment 85, Te Papa Parish; part Allotment 85, Allotment 88a, part Allotment 88, and part Allotment 87, Te Papa Parish; Lot 4, D.P. 12853, being part Allotment 89a, Te Papa Parish; Sections 3 and 2, Block XIII, Tauranga Survey District; Allotment 612, Te Papa Parish; part Lot 6, D.P. 12853, being part Allotment 133a, Te Papa Parish; part Allotment 133a, part Allotment 131, part Allotment 143, part Allotment 144, and part Allotment 153, Te Papa Parish, and terminating at a point on the said No. 20 Matamata-Tauranga Main Highway at the Wairoa River on the north-eastern boundary of Tarawhai Block, Block I, Otanewainuku Survey District (being the point of commencement of the middle-line proclaimed in New Zealand Gazette 1937, page 994); including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all in the Auckland Land District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 106252, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
