Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Bay of Islands County, at Moerewa.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Bay of Islands County Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 acres 0 roods 23.4 perches.

Situated in Block XV, Kawakawa Survey District, Bay of Islands County. (S.O. 29393.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6048, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of his Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of March, 1940.

Additional Land at Moerewa taken for the Purposes of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Kawakawa-Grahamtown Railway to take further land at Moerewa in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 20.2 perches.

Part of road.

Situated in Block XV, Kawakawa Survey District, Bay of Islands County. (S.O. 29393.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6048, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
