Authorizing Mossy Creek Gold Dredging Company, Limited, to erect Electric Lines in Portion of the Mawheraiti Survey District, Inangahua County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.

Present:

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize Mossy Creek Gold Dredging Company, Limited, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1933, having its registered office at Greymouth (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto on the following conditions.

CONDITIONS.

  1. PURPOSES OF LINES.

The said lines may be used for lighting, power, and heating purposes.

  1. LICENSE TO BE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licenses by the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

The license hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1935, and the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935, and with all regulations made or to be made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.

The system of supply shall be in accordance with paragraph (f) of clause 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1935. Supply will be received in bulk from the Grey Electric-power Board at a pressure of 11,000 volts on the Snowy Creek Road, Inangahua County. The voltage of transmission over the lines hereby authorized shall be approximately 11,000 volts alternating current.

  1. DURATION OF LICENSE.

Unless sooner determined, this license shall continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1949.

SCHEDULE.

Lines adapted for supply as prescribed by these presents for the transmission of electrical energy commencing at a point on the Snowy River Road opposite the south-western corner of Section 108, Block XII, Mawheraiti Survey District, and proceeding for a distance of approximately 350 chains in a south-easterly direction generally along Mossy Creek through and adjoining the licensee’s special dredging claim No. 121 in Blocks XI, XII, and XVI, Mawheraiti Survey District, and terminating at a point near the northern boundary of the said special dredging claim; as the said lines are delineated by means of white and red lines on the plan marked P.W.D. 104106, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Town of Opunake, Taranaki Land District.

GALWAY, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.

Present:

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is a reserve duly set apart for police purposes: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve for police purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Town of Taupo, Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 28th day of February, 1940.

Present:

THE HON. P. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve duly set apart as a site for a redoubt or other purposes of the General Government: And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reservation over such land shall be changed to a reserve for recreation purposes:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed from a reserve as a site for a redoubt or other purposes of the General Government to a reserve for recreation purposes.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in Taupo County, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 23 perches, more or less, being part Section 2, Block XXXVI, Taupo Township, bounded: Towards the north by Section 3, Block XXXVI aforesaid; towards the east by Huis Street, 209 links; towards the south by other part of Section 2 aforesaid, following a right line bearing 274° 37′ 45″ 370 links; and towards the west by River Terrace. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/2688, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by subsection four of section twelve of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal Act, 1928, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be a public reserve under the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, for gravel purposes.
