Town Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 27th February, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned
properties are open for selection on renewable lease
under the Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received
at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Friday, 12th April, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, on Wednesday, 17th April, 1940, at 10 o’clock
a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be
examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner
of Crown Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants are
required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot deposits
comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period rent, and
lease fee.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Hokianga County.—Town of Kohukohu Extension.

Section 10: Area, 7·83 perches. Capital value, £250 ;
half-yearly rent, £6 5s.
Section 11: Area, 7·83 perches. Capital value, £250 ;
half-yearly rent, £6 5s.
Section 12: Area 7·83 perches. Capital value, £250 ;
half-yearly rent, £6 5s.
Section 13: Area, 7·83 perches. Capital value, £250 ;
half-yearly rent, £6 5s.

These sections are situated on Beach Road, Kohukohu,
one minute from Post-office and the centre of town. Land
has recently been reclaimed from the harbour.

Eden County.—Whau Town North.

Lot 8 of Allotment 10 of Section 2: Area, 1 rood
12·5 perches. Capital value, £50 ; half-yearly rent, £1 5s.
Lot 9 of Allotment 10 of Section 2: Area, 1 rood
7·6 perches. Capital value, £50 ; half-yearly rent, £1 5s.

These sections are situated on Ulster Road and slope to
the bank of the Whau Creek. They are at present in scrub.
The soil is of a heavy nature on clay. Access is from New
Lynn Railway-station, which is approximately ten minutes
walk distant. Suitable residential-sites.

Eden County.—City of Auckland.

Lot 37 of Section 36: Area, 12·05 perches. Capital value,
£900 ; half-yearly rent, £22 10s.

This section is situated at the corner of Airedale Street
and Lyndoch Street, and is a desirable business-site.

Village Land in Taranaki Land District for Selection on
Renewable Lease.

District Lands and Survey Office,
New Plymouth, 28th February, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections
are open for selection on renewable lease under the
Land Act, 1924 ; and applications will be received at the
District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, up to
4 o’clock p.m., on Monday, 22nd April, 1940.
Applicants should appear personally for examination at
the District Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, on
Wednesday, 24th April, 1940, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if
any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by
any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown
Lands.
The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the
examination of applicants, and the successful applicants
are required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot
deposits comprising the first half-year’s rent, broken-period
rent, lease fee, and amount of weighting for improvements.

SCHEDULE.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.—VILLAGE LAND.

Stratford County.—Puniwhakau Village.

Section 30: Area, 3 roods 32·4 perches. Capital value,
£4 ; half-yearly rent, 2s.
Weighted with £7 10s. (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising felling, grassing, stumping, and 7 chains fencing.
Section 31: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 14·6 perches. Capital
value, £6 10s. ; half-yearly rent, 3s. 3d.
Weighted with £14 (payable in cash) for improvements,
comprising felling, grassing, stumping, and 12 chains fencing.
These sections are situated in the Puniwhakau Village
about thirty miles from Stratford. Access is by metalled
road. The land is flat, slightly broken along the river bank.
The soil is fair quality loam on clay formation.
