The Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939. Appointment of Emergency Disputes Committee.
In pursuance of the powers in that behalf conferred upon me by the Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations 1939, I, Patrick Charles Webb, Minister of Labour, do hereby appoint the following persons to be an Emergency Disputes Committee for the purposes of the said regulations and do refer to that committee a dispute which has arisen between Ngahere Gold Dredging, Ltd., and members of the Westland Gold Dredge and Alluvial Gold-mines Employees Union :-
McLagan, Angus Bishop, Thomas Otto Gilmour, James Alexander .. Representative of Workers. .. Representative of Employers. Chairman.

Administration of Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, in the Waitemata County.--(Notice No. Ag. 3797.)

THE following resolution passed by the Waitemata County Council on the 14th day of November, 1940, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934.
RESOLUTION.
THAT in pursuance of section 7, subsection 1, of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934, the Council of the County of Waitemata hereby assumes responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the said County, as from the 18th day of October, 1940, and hereby appoints in pursuance of section 7 (3) of the amended Act, Stanley Corneby Williams to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the said County.

Notice to Persons affected by Applications for Licenses under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
A PPLICATIONS have been received from the following:-
(1) W. Duncan, Napier, for a license to take fish for sale around Port Ahuriri by means of the 30 ft. fishing-vessel "Maid Marion," using trawl-nets.
(2) J. G. Sutherland, Timaru, for a license to take fish for sale around Timaru by means of a 50 ft. fishing-vessel (being constructed), using trawl-nets.
(3) G. Greco, Wellington, to take fish for sale around Wellington, by means of the 50 ft. fishing-vessel "Rex" (being constructed), using long and hand lines, crayfish pots, set-nets, and drag-nets.
(4) F. Bassett, Melrose, to take fish for sale around Wellington by means of a 12 ft. dinghy, using long and hand lines, crayfish pots, and set-nets.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing to the undersigned not later than the 30th December, 1940.

Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Taking of Fish for Sale.
An application has been received from R. Alfano, Wellington, for a variation in the conditions of his existing Industrial Fishing License so as to enable him to operate a vessel (to be constructed) for the purpose of taking fish for sale using trawl-nets, drag-nets, long and hand lines; all catches to be landed at Wellington, Picton, French Pass, Nelson, Parematu, and Napier.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing to the undersigned not later than the 30th December, 1940.

Pursuant to section 4 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1936, the Board of Native Affairs hereby declares the Native land described in the Schedule hereto to be subject to Part I of the said Act and to be included in the Wharekahika Development Scheme.
SCHEDULE.
All that area of Native land in the Tairawhiti Native Land Court District, situate in Blocks II and VI, Matakaoa Survey District, and known as the Wharekahika 18A 1c Block, containing approximately 88 acres.

All that area of Native land in the Tairawhiti Native Land Court District, situate in Block VII, Mahia Survey District, and known as the Tawapata North 2 Sub. 3A Block, containing 426 acres 1 rood 21 perches, more or less.

All that area of Native land in the Waikato-Maniapoto Native Land Court District, situate in Block V, Maramarua Survey District, and known as Onewhero Lot 20B Block, containing 72 acres 0 roods 22 perches, more or less, and being the whole of the land in Certificate of Title, Volume 691, folio 180, Auckland Registry.
