Notice to Persons affected by an Application for a License under Part III of the Industrial Efficiency Act, 1936.
Manufacture for Sale of Soap and Soap Powder.
AN application has been received from Hodgson and Co. Pty., Ltd., Wellington, for a license to commence to carry on the above industry to the extent of manufacturing “Bon Ami” (the soap base of which will be purchased from licensed manufacturers).
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing to the undersigned not later than the 19th December, 1940.

AN application has been received from V. A. Barker, Auckland, for a license to manufacture women’s high-grade fashion shoes by means of the machine sewn and stuck-on processes.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing to the undersigned not later than the 19th December, 1940.

Taking of Fish for Sale.
AN application has been received from S. Gormack, Kaikoura, for permission to extend the scope of his existing license, which authorizes the use of long lines, hand lines, and set-nets by means of the fishing vessel “Kia Ora,” so as to include the use of trawl-nets.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 19th December, 1940.

AN application has been received from F. J. Binnington, Riwaka, for a license to take fish for sale around Riwaka, by means of the 18½ ft. fishing vessel “Patiki,” using set-nets, drag-nets, long lines, hand lines, and crayfish-pots.
Any person who considers he will be materially affected by the decision of the Bureau of Industry on this application, and who wishes to make representations accordingly, must furnish them in writing so as to reach the undersigned not later than the 19th December, 1940.

IT is hereby notified that the order of adoption as set out in the Schedule hereunder has been made by the Native Land Court under the provisions of the Native Land Act, 1909. (This notice takes effect from 20th September, 1919.)

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an application in that behalf made to me by the Alexander Goldmines Employees Industrial Union of Workers, registered number 1697, situated at Alexander River, Westland, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section 22 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, it is my intention to cancel the registration of that industrial union after the expiration of six weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, unless in the meantime cause is shown to the contrary.
