commencing on the 1st day of April, 1940, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, the whole of the special rate of twenty-seven sixty-fourths of a penny (27/64d.) in the pound made and levied, (in connection with the said loan of £242,500) on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the area described in Schedule "B" of the said special area:
And in the matter of a loan of £53,000 authorized to be raised for the purpose of constructing drainage works in Radley and St. Martins being part of the special area described in Schedule "B" of the said resolution.
Whereas the special rate levied by special order dated the 20th day of November, 1928, to secure interest and other charges on the said loan of £53,000 will not be required for the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves to remit for the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1940, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, the whole of the special rate of three thirty-seconds of a penny (3/32d.) in the pound made and levied; (in connection with the said loan of £53,000) on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the area described in Schedule "B" of the said special area; And in the matter of a loan of £22,000 authorized to be raised for the purpose of constructing drainage works on Huntsbury Hill and other parts of the special area described in Schedule "B" of the said resolution.
Whereas the special rate levied by special order dated the 26th day of September, 1939, to secure interest and other charges on the said loan of £22,000 will not be required for the year ending the 31st day of March, 1941, the Christchurch Drainage Board hereby resolves to remit for the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1940, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, the whole of the special rate of one thirty-second of a penny (1/32d.) in the pound made and levied; (in connection with the said loan of £22,000) on the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the area described in Schedule "B" of the said special area.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

All that area of land situated in the Christchurch Survey District as contained within the boundary hereinafter described:-
Commencing at a point being the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, on Deposit Plan 1477, with the special area boundary described in a resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 of the 26th day of April, 1923, and proceeding generally in a north-westerly, south-westerly, and south-easterly direction along the said boundary of such special area to a point on the North Wairarapa Stream, being a prolongation of the line forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 23, Deposit Plan 5841; thence north-easterly across Wirksworth Road to the southern corner of the said Lot 23; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 23 to the northern corner of Lot 21, Deposit Plan 5841; thence northerly to the southern corner of Lot 3, Deposit Plan 8162; thence along the south-western boundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Deposit Plan 8162; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of Lot 9 on the said Deposit Plan 8162 to the southern corner of Lot 4, Deposit Plan 11496; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1, Deposit Plan 11496, to and along a road being the north-western boundary of the said Lot 1, Deposit Plan 11496, and across Wairarapa Road to the western corner of Lot 2, Deposit Plan 11709; thence along the north-western and north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 2, Deposit Plan 11709; thence south-easterly along a line parallel to and 250 links distant from the north-eastern side of Wairarapa Road to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 9, Deeds Plan Deeds Registry 5168; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 9 to the eastern corner thereof; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction generally and along the line forming the north-western boundary of the land contained in Deposit Plan 2444, Deposit Plan 3822, Deposit Plan 1656, and Deposit Plan 275 to a point 300 links south-west of the south-western side of Harewood Road; thence in a north-westerly direction by a line parallel to the south-western side of Harewood Road to a point in prolongation of a line forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, Deposit Plan 2354; thence in a north-easterly direction across Harewood Road and along the boundary of the said Lot 1, Deposit Plan 2354, and continuing in the same line along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, Deposit Plan 1477, to and across Langdons Road to the southern corner of Lot 1, Deposit Plan 1477; thence along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, Deposit Plan 1477, to its intersection with the boundary of the special area being the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

All that area of land situated in the Christchurch Survey District as contained within the boundary hereinafter described:-
Commencing on the eastern side of the North Road at a point in the prolongation of a line forming the northern boundary of Lot 17, Deposit Plan 691, and proceeding westerly across the said North Road and along the northern boundary of the said Lot 17 to the north-western corner thereof; thence in the same direction generally and parallel to the north side of Tuckers Road to the eastern boundary of the North Railway; thence south-westerly along the boundary of the said railway to a point 250 links north of the northern side of Northcote Road; thence easterly by a line parallel to and 250 links distant from the northern side of the said Northcote Road to the eastern boundary of Lot 5, Deposit Plan 5435; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 5 to the north-western corner of Lot 4, Deposit Plan 5435; then easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Lot 4 and Lots 3 and 2, Deposit Plan 5435, to a point 250 links west of the western side of the North Road; thence northerly in a line parallel to and 250 links distant from the western side of the said North Road to the northern boundary of Lot 6, Deposit Plan 5435; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the said Lot 6 and across the North Road to the eastern side thereof; thence northerly along the eastern side of the said North Road to the commencing point.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

All that area of land situated in the Christchurch Survey District comprising part of Rural Section 825 and part of Rural Section 840 and as contained within the boundary hereinafter described:-
Commencing on the western side of Wirksworth Road at a point in prolongation of the line forming the southern boundary of Lot 32, Deposit Plan 5841, and proceeding westerly in the same line to a point 250 links distant from the western side of the said Wirksworth Road; thence southerly and parallel to the western side of the said Wirksworth Road to a point 250 links north of the north side of Webbs Road; thence westerly parallel to the north side of the said Webbs Road to a point 250 links north-east of the north-eastern side of that part of Webbs Road parallel to the South Wairarapa Stream; thence north-westerly by a line parallel to the north-eastern side of the last-mentioned part of Webbs Road to a point on the boundary of the special area as defined by resolution of the Board dated the 17th day of April, 1923, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 37 dated the 26th day of April, 1923; thence north-easterly along the said boundary of the North Wairarapa Stream and continuing in the same line to the western side of Wirksworth Road; thence southerly along the western side of the said Wirksworth Road to the commencing point.

FOURTH SCHEDULE.

All that area of land situated in the Christchurch Survey District as contained within the boundary hereinafter described:-
Commencing at a point on the boundary between Rural Section 6754 and Rural Section 5382, such point being 250 links distant from the north-western side of Pages Road, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the said boundary between Rural Section 6754 and Rural Section 5382 to the southern corner of the land contained in certificate of title, Vol. 147, folio 232; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the land contained in the said certificate of title, Vol. 147, folio 232, to the south-western boundary of Lot 19, Deposit Plan 878; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 19 to the southern corner of Lot 20, Deposit Plan 878; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 20 to the south-western side of Shortland Street; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of the said Shortland Street to a point 250 links south-east of the south-eastern side of Waitohi Road; thence south-westerly by a line parallel to the south-eastern side of the said Waitohi Road to the south-western boundary of Rural Section 6754; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said Rural Section 6754 to a point north-east of and 250 links distant from the north-western side of Pages Road; thence north-easterly by a line parallel to the north-western side of the said Pages Road to the commencing point.
