A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere
Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as road the land in
Christchurch Survey District described in the First Schedule
hereto; and also do hereby proclaim as closed the road
described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

LAND PROCLAIMED AS ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as road:
2 roods 22·9 perches.

Being Lot 3 and part Lots 1, 2, and 10, D.P. 8042, being part
Rural Section 242 ; coloured red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 2 roods
22 perches.

Adjoining Lots 1, 6, and 10, D.P. 8042, being part Rural
Section 242, and Railway land ; coloured green.

All situated in Block XI, Christchurch Survey District
(Canterbury R.D.). (S.O. 7002.)

All in the Canterbury Land District: as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
106117, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above
mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day
of February, 1940.

Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road ; and I do
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the twelfth day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and forty.

Crown Land set apart as a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests
Act, 1921–22, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule
hereto as a permanent State forest.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL those areas in Hokianga County containing by admeasure-
ment 44 acres 0 roods 17·5 perches, more or less, and being
Sections 4 and 6, Block XVI, Maungataniwha Survey District.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan
No. 5/24, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest
Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North
Auckland plans 28831 and 26417.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day
of February, 1940.

Revocation of the Reservation of a Permanent State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and
pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses
of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby revoke the reservation as a permanent State forest of
the land described in the Schedule hereto (which reservation
was effected by Proclamation dated the nineteenth day
of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, and by
the State Forests Act, 1908).

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.—CANTERBURY FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimate
County, containing approximately 36 acres 2 roods, being
Reserve 1848, and situated in Block III, Waitaki Survey
District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 1st day
of February, 1940.

Revocation of the Reservation of Part of a Permanent State
Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Forests Act, 1921–22, and
pursuant to a resolution in that behalf passed by both Houses
of Parliament, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
revoke (so far only as it relates to the land described in the
Schedule hereto) the Proclamation of the twenty-seventh day
of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five,
whereby the said land (with certain other land) was set apart
as a permanent State forest, and declare that the reservation
thereby effected is (so far only as aforesaid) revoked accord-
ingly.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—AUCKLAND FOREST-
CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, Thames County,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 28 perches,
more or less, situated in Block 11, Tairua Survey District,
being part of the Tairua Block and being part of an area of
41,100 acres set apart as a permanent State forest by a
Proclamation dated 27th September, 1935—Gazette 1935,
page 2735, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the
northernmost corner of Section 24, Block 11, Tairua Survey
District; thence towards the north-west by a public road
for a distance of 928·6 links; towards the south-east by
the other part of the Tairua Block by a right line 932·2 links to
the easternmost corner of Section 24 aforesaid; and towards
the south-west by Section 24 aforesaid. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 23/51, deposited in the
Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. (Auckland plans S.O. 29978 and
27058.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day
of December, 1939.
