Lieutenant T. J. Cronin, N.Z.P.S., is posted to the 18th (Auckland) Battalion, and remains seconded while employed at N.Z. Base Depot. Dated 5th January, 1940.

Lieutenant T. J. Cronin, N.Z.P.S., is granted the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 14th February, 1940.

Lieutenant G. E. Hartnell is seconded for duty at Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force Base. Dated 1st May, 1940.

19TH (WELLINGTON) BATTALION.

Lieutenant-Colonel D. H. W. H. Donaldson, N.Z.S.C., is posted to the 19th (Wellington) Battalion and is seconded for duties at 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force Overseas Base. Dated 14th February, 1940.

NOTE.—The notice in respect of this officer appearing in New Zealand Gazette No. 1, dated 11th January, 1940, is hereby cancelled.

Lieutenant E. W. S. Williams, N.Z.S.C., to be Captain, and to retain his appointment as Adjutant, 19th (Wellington) Battalion. Dated 14th March, 1940.

2nd Lieutenant J. C. White is posted to the 19th (Wellington) Battalion, and is seconded for duty at Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 5th January, 1940.

2nd Lieutenant J. C. White to be Lieutenant, and to remain seconded for duty at Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 11th March, 1940.

Lieutenant A. R. Fitchett is seconded for duty at Headquarters, 2nd N.Z. Expeditionary Force Base. Dated 1st May, 1940.

20TH (CANTERBURY-OTAGO) BATTALION.

Major D. T. Maxwell, N.Z.S.C., is posted to the 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, and remains seconded while performing the duties of D.A.A.G., 2nd N.Z. Division. Dated 5th January, 1940.

Captain A. R. Cockerell, D.S.O., N.Z.S.C., is posted to the 20th (Canterbury-Otago) Battalion, and remains seconded while performing the duties of Staff Captain, 4th N.Z. Infantry Brigade. Dated 5th January, 1940.

Acting Commander Andrew Douglas Holden, Royal Naval Reserve (New Zealand), appointed to H.M.S. “Muritai” in command, to date 18th September, 1940, and as Senior Officer New Zealand Mine-sweeping Flotilla and Officer Instructor to the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve in continuation. To continue to serve in the rank of Acting Commander.

Temporary Lieutenant Arthur Eric Webster, Royal Naval Reserve (New Zealand), appointed to H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for H.M.S. “Wakakura” in command, to date 18th September, 1940 (to serve under T. 124 agreement).

Probationary Sub-Lieutenant Robert Lloyd Stephenson Black, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), appointed to H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for Minesweepers, to date 24th September, 1940.

Probationary Sub-Lieutenant John O’Connell Ross, Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve (New Zealand), appointed to H.M.S. “Philomel” additional, for Mine-sweepers, to date 24th September, 1940.
