Notice to Creditors to Prove.
In the matter of the Companies Act, 1922, and in the matter of THE PUKEMAORI TIMBER COMPANY, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).
THE liquidator of the Pukemaori Timber Company, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 30th day of October, 1940, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 288 of the Act or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

GISBORNE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Sewerage and other Miscellaneous Works Renewal Loan, 1940.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and in pursuance and exercise of all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in this behalf, the Gisborne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of £151,800, to be known as Sewerage and other Miscellaneous Works Renewal Loan, 1940, authorized to be raised by the Gisborne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose (together with accrued sinking funds and together with the sum of £16,705 to be paid to the Council by the Poverty Bay Electric-power Board in respect of certain electric works taken over by the said Board) of repaying Sewerage and other Miscellaneous Works Loan, 1910, which matures on the 15th day of October, 1940, the said Gisborne Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and sixty-one sixty-fourths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Gisborne, comprising the whole of the Borough of Gisborne; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years from the 14th day of October, 1940, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of the meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council held on the 1st day of October, 1940.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at 176 Hereford Street, Christchurch, on Friday, the 18th day of October, 1940, at 12 o’clock noon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator and also determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers for erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act, 1939, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirtieth of a penny (1/30d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Franklin; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Franklin County Council held on the 30th day of September, 1940.
