commencing at the eastern boundary of Opotiki Borough at
the western end of the Otara River Bridge and proceeding
thence generally in an easterly and south-westerly direction
and terminating at the Waikohu County western boundary
at Motu, being a distance of 39 miles 70 chains, more or less;
as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D.
107314 deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board
at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Waitoa–Wairakei.—All that road or portion of road in the
Taupo County, commencing at the north-western boundary
of the said county and proceeding thence generally in a
south-easterly direction through Atiamuri and Oruanui and
terminating at its junction with the Rotorua–Taupo Main
Highway at Wairakei, being a distance of 29 miles 65 chains,
more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on
plan P.W.D. 107314, deposited in the office of the Main
Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Opotiki – Te Araroa.—All that road or portion of road
in the Opotiki County, commencing at its junction with
the Opotiki–Matawai via Motu Main Highway at the Waiawa
River Bridge and proceeding thence generally in a north-
easterly direction via Te Awanui Settlement and terminating
at the western boundary of the Matakoa County, approxi-
mately a quarter of a mile from the sea-coast, being a distance
of 64 miles 64 chains, more or less; as the same is more
particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 88300, deposited in
the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington,
thereon coloured blue, and marked A–B–C.

Tongariro Bridge – Waihi Pa.—All that road or portion of
road in the Taupo County, commencing at its junction with
the National Park – Taupo Main Highway at the Tongariro
Bridge and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly
direction along the Waiouru–Tokaanu Road and terminating
at Tokaanu, being a distance of 3 miles, more or less; as
the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D.
71500, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at
Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Matamata–Tauranga.—All those streets or portions of
streets in Tauranga Borough, commencing at the southern
boundary of the said borough at the junction of Hospital
Street and Cameron Road and proceeding thence generally
in a northerly direction via Cameron Road to its junction
with Roberts Street, recommencing at the junction of Eleventh
Avenue and Cameron Road, and proceeding thence via
Cameron Road, Brown Street, and Cliff Road and terminating
at the junction of Cliff Road and March Street, being a dis-
tance of 2 miles 8 chains, more or less; as the same is more
particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107315, deposited in
the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and
thereon coloured blue.

Also all that road or portion of road in the Tauranga
County, commencing at the south-western boundary of the
said county and proceeding thence generally in a north-
easterly direction via Greerton and terminating at the
south-western boundary of the Borough of Tauranga, being a
distance of 17 miles, more or less; as the same is more
particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 108495, deposited in
the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and
thereon coloured red.

HIGHWAY DISTRICT No. 4.

Gisborne – Te Araroa.—All that road or portion of road in
Cook County, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of
the Borough of Gisborne opposite Tyndall Road, Kaiti, and
proceeding thence in an easterly and north-easterly direction
and terminating at the north-eastern boundary of Cook
County at Pakarae River Bridge, Block III, Whangara
Survey District, being a distance of 23 miles 60 chains, more
or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan
P.W.D. 106245, deposited in the office of the Main Highways
Board at Wellington, thereon coloured green, and marked
E–F.

Also all that road or portion of road in Uawa County,
commencing at the Uawa County southern boundary at the
Pakarae River Bridge, Block III, Whangara Survey District,
and proceeding thence in a northerly direction, passing
through Tolaga Bay Township, and terminating at the
northern boundary of Uawa County, Block III, Uawa Survey
District, being a distance of 18 miles 16 chains, more or less;
as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D.
106243, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board
at Wellington, thereon coloured green, and marked G–H.

Also all that road or portion of road in the Waiapu County,
commencing at the southern boundary of the said county,
Block III, Uawa Survey District, and proceeding thence
generally in a northerly direction, passing through Tokomaru
Bay Township via Waitangi Street, Moana Street, and Toa
Street, also passing through Te Puia, Mangakino Deviation,
and Tikitiki, and terminating at the northern boundary of
the Waiapu County near the Maraehara River Bridge, Block I,
Waiapu Survey District, being a distance of 59 miles 15
chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly
delineated on plan P.W.D. 106244, deposited in the office of
the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon coloured
green, and marked I–J.

Also all that road or portion of road in Matakoa County,
commencing at the Matakoa County southern boundary
near the Maraehara River Bridge, Block I, Waipau Survey
District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction and
terminating at the intersection of Maui Street and Pohutu
Road, Te Araroa Township, being a distance of 8 miles
32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly
delineated on plan P.W.D. 106244, deposited in the office of
the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon coloured
green and marked K–L.

Whakatane–Gisborne via Waioeka.—All that road or
portion of road in Cook County, commencing at the junction
with the Gisborne–Napier via Hangaroa Main Highway at
Makaraka, Block II, Turanganui Survey District, and
proceeding thence in a northerly direction, passing through
Ormond, and terminating at the Cook County north-western
boundary at the Kaiteratahi Bridge over the Waipaoa River,
Block IX, Waimata Survey District, being a distance of
10 miles 28 chains, more or less; as the same is more parti-
cularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106245, deposited in the
office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon
coloured green, and marked A–B.

Also all that road or portion of road in Waikohu County,
commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the said
county at Kaiteratahi Bridge over the Waipaoa River,
Block IX, Waimata Survey District, and proceeding thence
in a north-westerly direction and terminating at the Waikohu
County western boundary on the north-western boundary of
Section 2, Block IX, Motu Survey District, being a distance
of 42 miles 52 chains, more or less; as the same is more
particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106242, deposited in
the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon
coloured green, and marked C–D.

Gisborne–Napier via Hangaroa.—All that road or portion
of road in Cook County, commencing at the eastern boundary
of Gisborne Borough, Block II, Turanganui Survey District,
and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction, passing
through Makaraka and Tiniroto, and terminating at the
south-western boundary of Cook County, Block II, Opoiti
Survey District, being a distance of 41 miles 76 chains, more
or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan
P.W.D. 106245, deposited in the office of the Main Highways
Board at Wellington, thereon coloured green, and marked
M–N.

Tokomaru Bay Wharf.—All that road or portion of road
in Waiapu County, commencing at the junction of Moana
Street and Waimana Street, Tuatini Native Township,
and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction and
terminating at the Tokomaru Wharf opposite Tawhiti 1a,
Block IVA, Tokomaru Survey District, being a distance of
2 miles 45 chains, more or less; as the same is more particu-
larly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106244, deposited in the office
of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon coloured
green, and marked O–P.

Tolaga Bay Wharf.—All that road or portion of road in
Uawa County, commencing at the junction with the Gisborne–
Te Araroa Main Highway opposite Section 51, Paremata
Block, Block XII, Uawa Survey District, and proceeding
thence in a south-easterly and then northerly direction
and terminating at the north-western corner of road and
landing reserves near Tolaga Wharf at Section 64, Paremata
Block, Block XII, Uawa Survey District, being a distance
of 70 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly
delineated on Plan P.W.D. 106243, deposited in the office
of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, thereon coloured
green, and marked Q–V.

Mangakino–Waiomatatini.—All that road or portion of
road in Waiapu County, commencing at the junction with
the Gisborne – Te Araroa Main Highway immediately west
of the Mangakino Stream in Block IV, Mata Survey District,
and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction,
passing through Ruatoria, and terminating at its junction
with the Port Awanui Road, Block X, Waiapu Survey District,
being a distance of 9 miles 65 chains, more or less; as the
same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106244,
deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at
Wellington, thereon coloured green, and marked R–S.

Te Wera.—All that road or portion of road in Waikohu
County, commencing at its junction with the Gisborne–
Whakatana via Waioeka Main Highway at the Motu River
Bridge in Section 3, Block IX, Motu Survey District, and
proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction
and terminating at the Koranga Bridge opposite the southern
corner of Section 2, Block I, Ngatapa Survey District, being
a distance of 7 miles 20 chains, more or less; as the same
is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 106242,
deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at
Wellington, thereon coloured green, and marked T–U.
