Kaikohe-Maungatapere.—All that road or portion of road in the Kaikohe Town District, commencing at the junction with the Waimamaku-Ohawewai Main Highway and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via Mangakahia Road and terminating at the Kaikohe Town District southern boundary, being a distance of 70 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107491, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Also all that road or portion of road in the Counties of Bay of Islands and Whangarei, commencing at the Kaikohe Town District southern boundary and proceeding thence generally in a southerly and south-easterly direction and terminating at its junction with the Whangarei-Dargaville Main Highway at the dairy factory at Maungatapere, being a distance of 44 miles 58 chains more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107322, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Dargaville-Tikinui.—All that road or portion of road in the Dargaville Borough, commencing at the Dargaville Post-office at the junction of Normandy Street and Hokianga Road and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction across the Kaihu River and along Mangawhare Road and terminating at the Dargaville Borough southern boundary, being a distance of 1 mile 35 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107493 deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.
Also all that road or portion of road in Hobson County, commencing at the Dargaville Borough southern boundary and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction through Te Kopuru and terminating at its junction with the Tikinui Wharf Road in Block XIV, Tokatoka Survey District, being a distance of 14 miles 14 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107322, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Long’s Corner-Tauraroa.—All that road or portion of road in Whangarei County, commencing at the junction with the Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waijpu Main Highway at Long’s Corner in Allotment 18, Maungatapere Parish, Block IV, Tangihua Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly and then south-easterly direction and terminating at the junction with the Mititai-Tauraroa Main Highway at Tauraroa in Allotment 55, Ruarangi Parish, Block VIII, Tangihua Survey District, being a distance of 9 miles 60 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107322, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Mititai-Tauraroa.—All that road or portion of road in the Hobson and Whangarei Counties, commencing at its junction with the Dargaville-Maungaturoto Main Highway near Mititai in Block VI, Tokatoka Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly and north-easterly direction to the junction with the Oakleigh-Paparoa Main Highway near the western corner of Allotment S.W. 5, Ruarangi Parish, Block VIII, Tangihua Survey District, being a distance of 28 miles 12 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107322, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Whangarei-Dargaville.—All those streets or portions of streets in Dargaville Borough, commencing at the Awakino River Bridge at the Dargaville Borough northern boundary and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction by way of Jervois and Normandy Streets and terminating at the Dargaville Post-office at the junction of Normandy Street and Hokianga Road, being a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107493, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured black.
Kaikohe Station.—All that road or portion of road in Kaikohe Town District, commencing at its junction with the Waimamaku-Ohawewai Main Highway opposite the westernmost corner of Marino No. 1 Block and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction and terminating at its junction with the Railway Reserve at the Kaikohe Railway-station, being a distance of 32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107491, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Kaitaia-Motukaraka.—All that road or portion of road in the Kaitaia Town District, commencing at the junction of Commerce Street and Redan Road and proceeding thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Redan Road and terminating at the Kaitaia Town District western boundary, being a distance of 33 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107489, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Waimamaku-Ohawewai.—All that road or portion of road in the Kaikohe Town District, commencing at the Kaikohe Town District south-western boundary and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at the Kaikohe Town District eastern boundary, being a distance of 1 mile 32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107491, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured black.
Hikurangi-Marua.—All that road or portion of road in Hikurangi Town District, commencing at the junction of King Street and Valley Road and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction and terminating at the Hikurangi Town District eastern boundary, being a distance of 48 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107492, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Rawene—One Junction.—All that road or portion of road in the Hokianga County, commencing at the northern boundary of Kawene Township and proceeding thence generally in a southerly direction and terminating at the junction with the Waimamaku-Ohawewai Main Highway at One Junction, being a distance of 4 miles 32 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107322, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
HIGHWAY DISTRICT NO. 2.
Birkenhead-Maungaturoto.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Waitemata and Rodney, commencing at the Birkenhead Borough northern boundary and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction, but excluding that portion in the Warkworth Town District, and terminating at the Rodney County north-western boundary near Topuni, being a distance of 51 miles 63 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107355, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in Birkenhead Borough, commencing at the Birkenhead Wharf and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly direction along Hinemoa Street, Ilauraki Street, and Glenfield Road and terminating at the junction of Glenfield Road and Papuke Road at the northern boundary of Birkenhead Borough, being a distance of 1 mile 62 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107498, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all those streets or portions of streets in the Warkworth Town District, commencing at the south-western boundary of the said town district and proceeding thence generally in a northerly and north-westerly direction via the Great North Road, Brown’s Road, Whitaker’s Road, Neville Street, Queen Street, Bridge Street, and again the Great North Road and terminating at the north-western boundary of the Warkworth Town District, being a distance of 2 miles 21 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107497, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Auckland-Hamilton.—All that road or portion of road in the Counties of Manukau, Franklin, Waikato, and Waipa, commencing at the southern boundary of Otahuhu Borough at the northern end of the Tamaki River Bridge and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction, but excluding those portions in Mount Wellington Road District, the Boroughs of Ellerslie, Manurewa, Papakura, Huntly, and Ngaruawahia, and the Town District of Papatoetoe, and terminating at the Waitawhirirwhiri Stream Bridge at the north boundary of the Borough of Hamilton, being a distance of 58 miles 31 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107355, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue and green.
Also all that road or portion of road in Ellerslie Borough, commencing at the junction of Waiwhua Street and the Great South Road and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via the Great South Road and terminating at the south-eastern boundary of One Tree Hill Borough at Ann’s Bridge, being a distance of 1 mile 21 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107370, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
Also all that road or portion of road in the Mount Wellington Road District, commencing at the south-eastern boundary of the Borough of One Tree Hill at Ann’s Bridge and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction via the Great South Road and terminating at its junction with Portage Road at the northern boundary of the Borough of Otahuhu, being a distance of 2 miles 5 chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 107370, deposited in the office of the Main Highways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
