At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and
National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby appoint
Charles Robertson Orman,
George Anderson Orman,
Thomas William Grace,
Richard Harker,
William Watson,
William Closs,
Gilbert William Plummer,
Stephen Thomas Plummer, and
Hon. William Henderson McIntyre, M.L.C.,
to be the Millerton Domain Board, having control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Wednesday, the thirtieth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and forty, at half past six o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Domain Pavilion as the place where,
the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
MILLERTON DOMAIN.—NELSON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area containing by admeasurement 7 acres 3 roods
38 perches, more or less, and being part of Section 142 and the
whole of Sections 263 to 279 (inclusive) of the Town of Miller-
ton, bounded: Towards the north-east by the Westport
Coal Company's Reserve; towards the south-east by Rodney
Street; towards the south-west by Seymour Street; towards
the north-west and again towards the south-west by part
of Section 142 (a school reserve), and again towards the north-
west by Hardy Street: save and except that part of the
Millerton Road, 1 chain wide, which intersects the land
included within the above-described boundaries. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/35,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Changing the Purpose of Portion of a Reserve in Akaroa
Survey District, Canterbury Land District.
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of
October, 1940.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for Provincial
Government purposes:
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the reserva-
tion over such land shall be changed to a reserve for
recreation purposes:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon
him by subsection one (a) of section seven of the Public
Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth
hereby declare that the purpose of that portion of the
reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby changed
from a reserve for Provincial Government purposes to a
reserve for recreation purposes.

RESERVE 4430 (formerly part Rural Section 2485), Block II,
