Declaring certain Territories to be Enemy Countries
for the Purposes of the Enemy Property Emergency
Regulations 1939, and the Enemy Trading Emergency
Regulations 1939.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Enemy Property
Emergency Regulations 1939, and the Enemy Trading
Emergency Regulations 1939, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare the whole of French territory
in Europe (including Corsica); Algeria, the French
Zone of Morocco, French Somaliland, Tunisia, and the
Principality of Monaco, to be enemy countries for
the purposes of the Enemy Property Emergency
Regulations 1939, and the Enemy Trading Emergency
Regulations 1939; and I do also declare that this
Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
twenty-third day of September, one thousand nine
hundred and forty.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this
23rd day of September, 1940.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Wellington to be Crown
Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works
Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land
taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and
not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on
recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare
such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and
thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of
under that Act accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land
described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to
the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 7Β·6 perches.
Part Railway land, D.P. 11017 (part of Thorndon Reclama-
tion).
Situated in Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District,
City of Wellington. (S.O. 20510.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6265,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wel-
ington, and thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 18th day of
September, 1940.

Additional Land at Tuakau taken for the Purposes of the
Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Kaipara-Waikato
Railway to take further land at Tuakau in addition to land
previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by
sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the
Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Tuakau Parish.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are
more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 6259,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at
Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow and sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 19th day of
September, 1940.
