NOTICE OF MEMBERS’ VOLUNTARY WINDING-UP RESOLUTION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the METHVEN TRANSPORT COMPANY, LIMITED.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 221 (b) of the Companies Act, 1933, that the following special resolution under section 300 (1) was duly passed on 21st December, 1939 :—

“That the company having agreed to amalgamate with other transport operators, and having disposed of its business for that purpose, it is hereby resolved as a special resolution under the Companies Act, section 221 (b) :—

“1. That the company be wound up voluntarily and that ARTHUR DOUGLAS FORD, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of the METHVEN TRANSPORT COMPANY, LIMITED (in Voluntary Liquidation).

THE liquidator of the Methven Transport Company, Limited, which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 22nd day of January, 1940, as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their claims or debts, and to establish priority (if any) under section 238 of the Companies Act, otherwise they may be excluded from the benefits of any distributions made before such claims or debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objection to such distribution.

APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE FOR A WATER-RACE.

NOTICE is hereby given by Barrytown Gold Dredging, Limited, that it has applied to the Warden of the Westland Mining District at Greymouth for a license for a water-race situate partly in Crown land and partly in Sections 3317, 3035, 2642, and 2636, Block V, Waiwhero Survey District, and that such application and all objections thereto will be heard at the Warden’s Court, Greymouth, on Monday, 22nd January, 1940, at 10.30 in the forenoon.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of BRAMLEY OIL REFINERIES (N.Z.), LIMITED (under receiver).

NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Bramley Oil Refineries (N.Z.), Limited, will be held on the 17th January, 1940, at 7.30 p.m., at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed. And that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at Room 5, Roslyn House, Esk Street, Invercargill, on the 17th day of January, 1940, at 8 p.m. in the evening, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting; and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act, may appoint a committee of inspection.
