Weighted with £600 for improvements, comprising six-roomed dwelling, stable, barn and shearing-shed (under one roof), implement-shed, yards and dip, 1,400 gal. underground concrete tank, piping, and trough. This sum is payable in cash, or after payment of a deposit of £100, the balance £500 may be paid by sixty half-yearly instalments of £16 3s. 4d. including interest at 5 per cent. per annum.

The section is situated eight miles from Waiwera Township, Railway-station, and School, by good formed and metalled road and comprises undulating land with fairly well-sheltered ridges. The soil is fairly sharp loam and responds well to lime and manure treatment. The property is free from noxious weeds and is fairly well watered by creeks and river.

Town Lands in Otago Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.


District Lands and Survey Office,
Dunedin, 8th February, 1939.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection on renewable lease under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, 6th April, 1939.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, 12th April, 1939, at 10.30 a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants, and the successful applicant is required to pay immediately at conclusion of ballot the first half-year’s rent, lease fee, broken-period rent (if any), and amount of weighting for improvements.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—TOWN LANDS.

Waitaki County.—Town of Moeraki.

SECTION 4, Block III: Area, 1 rood 0·2 perches. Capital value, £20. Half-yearly rent, 10s.

Weighted with 10s. (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising road-boundary fencing.

The section is situated a quarter of a mile from Moeraki School and one mile and a half from Hillgrove Railway-station. A steep section with a flat portion at back suitable or a building-site.

Waitaki County.—Town of Herbert.

SECTIONS 6, 7, and 8, Block VI: Area, 3 roods 10 perches. Capital value, £60. Half-yearly rent, £1 10s.

Weighted with £200 (payable in cash) for improvements, comprising six-roomed dwelling in poor repair.

The sections are situated about a quarter of a mile from Herbert School and Post-office, and half a mile from railway-station. Sections 7 and 8 are situated on top of a high cutting facing on to the Main North Road (Otepopo Street), while Section 6 faces on to Cullen Street, which is a steep side street. They are fair sections but the access is poor.
