Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
Wellington, 25th August, 1939.
THE following notice, received from the Mayor, Feilding Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926.

BOROUGH OF FEILDING.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Feilding, taken on the 17th day of August, 1939, on the proposal of the Feilding Borough Council to borrow the sum of six thousand pounds (£6,000) for the purpose of tar-sealing streets and surface-sealing footpaths :—
Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was .. 171
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 63
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land defined as aforesaid, to be a bobby calf marketing pool area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 7th day of September, 1939.
SCHEDULE.
TUTIRA BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.
ALL that area of land lying entirely within the County of Hawke’s Bay and bounded by a line commencing on the foreshore at Western Spit; thence from this point taking a straight line across the inner harbour in a north-westerly direction to the junction of the Seafield-Wharerangi Road at Section 37, Block XV, Puketapu Survey District; thence from this point continuing a straight line across country in a northerly direction to the point where the Mangakopikopiko Stream meets the eastern boundary of Block VI, Puketapu Survey District; thence from this point continuing the straight line in a northerly direction to the point where the Esk River meets the north-eastern corner boundary of Block XIV, Naungakaruru Survey District; thence from this point continuing the line across country in a north-easterly direction to the junction of the Matakoura and Maungaharuru Roads; thence from this point continuing the line across country in the same direction to meet the county boundary on the northern boundary of Block IV, Maungaharuru Survey District; thence from this point following the said county boundary generally in an easterly direction to the foreshore facing Hawke’s Bay; thence continuing along the said foreshore in a southerly direction to Western Spit, the original point of commencement.

Revoking Portion of a Warrant declaring Areas to be Closely Populated Localities and declaring an Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, Section 3.
IN terms of section 3 of the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1936, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, the Minister of Transport does hereby revoke that portion of the Warrant, dated the 24th day of November, 1937, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 78 of the 2nd day of December, 1937, at page 2623, which refers to the area described in the Schedule hereto, and does hereby declare the area described in the said Schedule to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor-vehicle on any road, street, or other place to which the public have access therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty-miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE.
SITUATED within Geraldine County—
All that area at Winchester consisting of those portions of the Christchurch–Dunedin Main Highway No. 101 commencing at a point 7 chains measured along the said main highway in a southerly direction from a point opposite the Winchester War Memorial, proceeding thence in a northerly direction to the junction of the Winchester–Geraldine and Winchester–Orari sections of the said main highway, a distance of approximately 27 chains; also extending from the said junction in a north-westerly direction along the Winchester–Geraldine section of the said main highway for a distance of 5 chains; and also extending from the said junction in a northerly direction along the Winchester–Orari section of the said main highway to a point opposite St. John’s Anglican Church, a distance of approximately 20 chains.
