Vesting a Reserve in the Selwyn County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of August, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart as a reserve for cemetery purposes: And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that from and after the day of the date hereof the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn, in trust, for cemetery purposes.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

PART Rural Section 30100, Lot 1, D.P. 5414, Block XIII, Coleridge Survey District: Area, 2 acres 1 rood 36 perches, more or less.

The Western Side of Portion of Te Puni Street, in the Borough of Petone, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 16th day of August, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive

Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the seventeenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine (in so far as it affects the western side of the portion of street as described in the Schedule hereto), viz.:—

“The Petone Borough Council, being the local authority having control of the street hereinafter mentioned, hereby resolves and declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to that portion of Te Puni Street in the Borough of Petone fronting the land comprised and described in Certificate of Title, Vol. 84, folio 32, Wellington Registry”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the western side of the portion of Te Puni Street as described in the Schedule hereto within a distance of twenty-one feet from the western boundary of the said street.

SCHEDULE.

THE western side of all that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Petone, known as Te Puni Street, fronting Subdivision 5A of Sections 2 and 3, Hutt District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 104026, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Setting apart Native Land as a Native Reservation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 9th day of August, 1939.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

PURSUANT to section five of the Native Purposes Act, 1937, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby set apart and reserve the Native freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Native Reservation for the common use of the owners thereof as a meeting-house site.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Government Railways Act, 1926, and its amendments, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations made under the Government Railways Act, 1926, on the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, as from time to time amended (hereinafter referred to as “the said regulations”), in the manner herein-after set forth; and doth hereby declare that, except as otherwise specifically
