ALL that area in Mangonui County containing by admeasurement 12 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less, situated in Block VII, Opoe Survey District, being part of Rotoroa Kauri-gum Reserve Extension, bounded towards the north-east by Section 3, Section 1A and Lot 2A, and Section 1B and Lot 2B, Block VII, Opoe Survey District, and towards the south and west by a public road. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 9/3277A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. being an officer in the service of the Crown holding the office of Overseer for the Public Works Department at Tuai, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the three-hundred-and-first section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

Land set apart in the Southland Land District as a Site for a Public School.

WHEREAS by section thirty-three of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the district in which are situated any reserves or endowments vested in the Crown by or in pursuance of section two of the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, or of section twenty-two of the first-mentioned Act, set apart as sites for public schools, secondary schools, or technical schools any part of such reserves or endowments:
And whereas the Land Board of the Southland Land District has duly passed a resolution recommending that the land described in the Schedule hereto should be set apart as a site for a public school, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Acts aforesaid, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a site for a public school.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being portion of Section 7, Block IV, Mabel Hundred, and bounded as follows: Towards the south-east by a public road, distance 1056·3 links; towards the south by a public road, distance 384·5 links; and towards the west and north by other part of Section 7 by lines bearing 360°, distance 1038·3 links and bearing 90°, distance 578·5 links, respectively; be all the aforesaid distances a little more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/721A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 4th day of August, 1939.

WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the thirteenth day of that month, the control of certain reserves in the Nelson Land District, known as the Rotoiti Scenic Reserve, was vested in certain persons therein named, who were by the said Warrant constituted a special Board by the name of the Rotoiti Scenic Board, in pursuance of section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908: And whereas it is desirable that Keith Welch Walker should be appointed a member of the said Board in place of Francis Innes Ledger, deceased:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby appoint the said
Keith Welch Walker
to be a member of the Rotoiti Scenic Board constituted by the Warrant dated the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, hereinbefore referred to, in place of the said Francis Innes Ledger.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of August, 1939.
