of Lot 7, Deposit Plan 5392; thence along that southern boundary and the southern boundary of Lot 6, Deposit Plan 5392, aforesaid, to the eastern side of Albert Street; thence southerly along the said eastern side of that street to a point in line with the southern side of Trevors Road, across Albert Street aforesaid, and along the southern side of Trevors Road to the Ashburton River; thence generally northerly along the left bank of that river to the point of commencement.

B OUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF ASHBURTON.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded towards the north by the Selwyn and Ellesmere Counties, from the source of the Rakaia River to the ocean; towards the east by the ocean to the mouth of the Rangitata River; thence by that river to the Forest Stream; thence by that stream to its source in the Two Thumbs Range; thence by a line along the summit of that range to the summit of the Southern Alps near McClure Peak; thence by a line along the summit of the Southern Alps to Whitcombe Pass; thence to and by the Louper Stream to the source of the Rakaia River, the point of commencement; save and except the Borough of Ashburton and the Town District of Tinwald.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE UPPER ASHBURTON RIDING OF THE COUNTY OF ASHBURTON.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the north branch of the Ashburton River in line with the middle of a road passing through Rural Section 34144 situated about 5 chains to the north-west of a closed road; and proceeding in a south-easterly direction down the centre of the said north branch of the Ashburton River to a point in line with the production of the north-western boundary of Rural Section 34165; thence to and along the north-western boundaries of Rural Section 34165, aforesaid; of Rural Sections 34166, 15441, 15442, 19708, 19709, 20654, 25538, and 26862; thence north-easterly by a right line through Rural Section 19532 to a point on Thompsons Road in line with the centre of Lyndhurst Road; thence to and along the centre of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 34169; thence to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Rural Section 34169, aforesaid, Rural Section 30966, Rural Section 34170, across Thompsons Road and continuing south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections 30509, 30504, 30505, 31252, 28020, 27985, 27970, and 27969, to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 27392; thence south-westerly along the centre of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 27392 aforesaid, to the centre of the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section 27394; thence south-easterly along the centre of that road to its intersection with the Main South Road; thence south-westerly along the centre of that road to Ashburton Borough boundary hereinbefore described; thence continuing along the southern boundaries of the said borough and the Tinwald Town District to the South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence south-westerly by the said railway to the centre of the Hinds River; thence north-westerly generally along the centre of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 31100; thence to and by that boundary and along the north-western side of a road forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 35977 and that road continued to the easternmost corner of Rural Section 35975; thence to and by the north-western boundaries of Rural Sections 21336, 34631, 8860, 26412, 34026, 36011, and its production to a point in the centre of the south branch of the Ashburton River; thence in a north-westerly direction generally up the centre of that river and the centre of the Taylors Stream to a point in line with the centre of a road intersecting Rural Section 34144 and situated 5 chains to the north-west of a closed road; thence by a right line to and along the centre of that road and its production to the centre of the north branch of the Ashburton River, the place of commencement; save and except the Borough of Ashburton and the Tinwald Town District.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Huntly, the County of Waikato, and the Huntly Riding of the County of Waikato.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of Huntly are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 24th day of May, 1939, and published in Gazette No. 39 of the 1st day of June, 1939:

And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Waikato affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:

And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Huntly Riding of the County of Waikato affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF HUNTLY.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Rangiriri Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at a point where the northern boundary of Allotment 14B, Taupiri Parish, meets the Waikato River; thence along the southern side of a public road to and across the Great South Road, along the generally south-western side of the first-mentioned road to and across another public road. and again along the generally south-western side of the first-mentioned road to the northernmost corner of Allotment 9, Taupiri Parish; thence along the western boundaries of Allotments 9, 7, and 3, Taupiri Parish, to and across Kimihia Road, along the western boundary of Allotment 306, Taupiri Parish, the abutment of a foreshore reserve and the western shore of Hakanoa Lake, to the northernmost corner of Allotment 541, Taupiri Parish; thence along the generally western boundaries of Allotments 541 and 321, Taupiri Parish, and Lots 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, on a plan numbered 28500, lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence along the southern boundary of aforesaid Lot 1 for a distance of 13·7 links; thence across a public road following a right line bearing 103° 13', distance 89·9 links; thence along a right line across the last-mentioned road, through Lots 3 and 4 on D.P. 12166, and across another public road, to the north-western corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 17238; thence along the western boundary of Allotment 532, Taupiri Parish, to and cross Upland Road; thence along the western side of that road and the western boundary of Lot 5 on D.P. 19278 to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 2094; thence along the northern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 2094 to and across the North Island Main Trunk Railway, along the northern boundary of Lot 2A on D.P. 7094 to and across the Great South Road and along the northern boundary of Lot 3 on D.P. 2094 to the Waikato River; thence along the right bank of the Waikato River to the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF WAIKATO.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing in the middle of the Waikato River at its confluence with the Whangamarino River in Block VI, Maramarua Survey District; thence up the middle of the Whangamarino River, the Maramarua River, and the Manga-tangi Stream to the middle of the Mercer-Pukorokoro Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to Allotment 82, Koheroa Parish, and along the western and northern boundaries of that allotment to the Firth of Thames at the mouth of the Pukorokoro Creek; thence in a southerly direction generally along the confiscation boundary-line to Section 1, Block VIII, Wharekawa Survey District; thence along the north-eastern boundary of Section 1 aforesaid, the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 2, Block VIII, Wharekawa Survey District, and the southern boundary of Section 1, Block II, Piako Survey District, to the confiscation boundary-line, and along that line to the northernmost corner of Tahuroa No. 4 Block, in Block IX, Maungakawa Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Tahuroa Nos. 4 and 3 Blocks; thence
