Declaring a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be a pool area for the marketing of bobby calves, do hereby declare such area of land, defined as aforesaid, to be a Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area for the purposes of the said regulations under the name set out in the said Schedule, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 10th day of August, 1939.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH AND DISTRICT BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.
ALL that area of land lying within the Counties of Marlborough, Waimea, and Awatere, and commencing at the boundary of the Marlborough and Sounds Counties at White’s Bay, Cloudy Bay Survey District; thence continuing in a southerly and south-easterly course along the coast to meet the northern bank of the Awatere River at Section 1, Block VI, Clifford Bay Survey District; thence following the northern bank of the Awatere River in a south-westerly direction to meet the railway-siding at Dashwood; thence in a direct south-westerly line to where the Acheron River meets the boundary of Amuri County at Block I, Molesworth Survey District; thence following the boundary in a north-westerly direction to meet the junction of the Blenheim-Tophouse Road; thence continuing along this road in a westerly direction to meet the Junction of the Tophouse-Reefton and Tophouse-Blenheim Roads; thence in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to the Rai Saddle; thence in a straight line in a northerly direction to meet the boundary of the Waimea County at Mount Duppa Trig. Station; thence along the boundary of the Waimea-Marlborough and Marlborough Sounds Counties in a westerly and a southerly direction to the boundary of Marlborough and Sounds Counties at White’s Bay, the original point of commencement.

Declaring Additional Area to be Part of the Rongotea and District Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area.
PURSUANT to the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, I, William Lee Martin, acting for the Minister of Marketing, being satisfied that a sufficient majority of the producers in the area of land defined in the Schedule hereto are desirous that such area should be declared to be part of the Rongotea and District Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area defined by notice given under my hand on the 28th day of July, 1939, and published in the Gazette on the same day at page 2089, do hereby declare the additional area of land defined in the said Schedule to be part of the Rongotea and District Bobby Calf Marketing Pool Area accordingly, and I do hereby further declare that this notice shall take effect on the 10th day of August, 1939.
SCHEDULE.
RONGOTEA AND DISTRICT BOBBY CALF MARKETING POOL AREA.—ADDITIONAL AREA.
ALL that area of land lying within the County of Rangitikei and commencing at a point on the western bank of the Rangitikei River opposite Section 141, Block XI, Rangitoto Survey District; thence continuing up the western bank of the said river to the point where Porewa Road meets the river; thence continuing along the said road to the junction of Cliff Road; thence from this point taking a straight line in a westerly direction to the Bonny Glen—Marton Road at the junction of Pukepapa Road; thence continuing along the south side of the Bonny Glen—Marton Road to the junction of Union Road; thence continuing along Union Road to the Makirikiri Road; thence along Makirikiri Road to the junction of the Bulls—Turakina Main Highway; thence from this point taking a straight line in a westerly direction to meet the coast-line; thence continuing down the coast-line in a southerly direction to the mouth of the Rangitikei River at Moana Roa; thence continuing up the western side of the river to opposite Section 141, Block XI, Rangitoto Survey District, the original point of commencement, but excluding the Borough of Marton.

NOTICE has been received under the hand of the Chairman of the Matangi Bobby Calf Pool Committee established by the Bobby Calf Marketing Regulations 1939, that

Fred Joseph Samuel Chapman Retter
have been duly elected to be members of the said committee pursuant to the provisions in that behalf of the said regulations.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Ashburton, the County of Ashburton, and the Upper Ashburton Riding of the County of Ashburton.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of Ashburton are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by Order in Council made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, dated the 29th day of March, 1939, and published in Gazette No. 20 of the 30th day of March, 1939:
And also, in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Ashburton affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto:
And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Upper Ashburton Riding of the County of Ashburton affected by the said Order in Council are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ASHBURTON.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Ashburton River in line with the north-western side of North West Town Belt (Oak Grove); thence continuing in a northerly direction along the said left bank of the Ashburton River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Lot 42 on Deposit Plan 888; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Lots 42 and 41 on Deposit Plan 888, aforesaid, to a road-line; thence along the western and southern sides of the said road-line to the western side of Alford Forest Road; thence northerly along the said western side of Alford Forest Road to a point in line with the south-eastern side of Farm Road; thence across Alford Forest Road and along the said south-eastern side of Farm Road to the south-western side of Winters Road; thence along the said south-western side of that road to its intersection with the south-eastern side of Allens Road; thence continuing in a north-easterly direction along the said south-eastern side of Allens Road to the centre of the Wakanui Stream; thence south-easterly along the said centre-line of that stream to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Lot 1 on Deposit Plan 7439; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Lot 1 on Deposit Plan 7439, aforesaid, Lot 1, Deposit Plan 8207, and Lot 1, Deposit Plan 8078, respectively, to Racecourse Road; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of that road to its intersection with the north-western side of West Street; thence across that street and along the eastern boundary of Reserve 2909 to East Street; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of that street to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Reserve 2471; thence south-easterly across East Street and along the said south-western boundary of Reserve 2471 to the southern side of Brucefield Avenue; thence in a westerly direction along that avenue to the eastern side of Kitchener Street; thence southerly along that street to Bridge Street, across Bridge Street; thence westerly along the southern side of that street to the eastern side of Princes Street; thence southerly along the said eastern side of that street to a point in line with the southern boundary
