Appointment of Officer for Purposes of Part II of the Fisheries
Act, 1908.

IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor-
General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Norman Heaton Pike,
of Poronui Station, Rangitaiki, to be an officer for the
purposes of Part II of the first-mentioned Act in respect of
the Rotorua Acclimatization District.

Appointment of Licensing Authorities in terms of the Transport Licensing Amendment Act, 1936.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Transport Licensing Amendment
Act, 1936, I, Robert Semple, Minister of Transport, do hereby appoint the licensing authorities described in
the Schedule hereto for a term commencing on the 1st day of August, 1939, and expiring on the 31st day of July,
1940.

of Officers and formation of a Temporary Unit.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve the following appointments, transfers, &c.,
of Officers and formation of a temporary unit of the Royal
New Zealand Air Force:
REGULAR AIR FORCE.
Formation and Designation of a Temporary Unit.
A temporary unit in the United Kingdom is formed, to be
called the New Zealand Squadron, with headquarters at the
Royal Air Force Station, Marham, King's Lynn, Norfolk,
England. Dated 1st June, 1939.
Transfers.
The undermentioned officers are granted short service
commissions in the Royal New Zealand Air Force for a
period of five years on transfer from the Royal Air Force:-
Flying Officer John Noel Collins, R.A.F. (on probation).
Dated 5th July, 1939.
Flying Officer John Adams, R.A.F. (on probation). Dated
10th July, 1939.
Pilot Officer William Harcourt Coleman, R.A.F. (on
probation). Dated 7th July, 1939.

General has, in pursuance of the provisions of the
Fisheries Act, 1908, and of the Official Appointments and
Documents Act, 1919, appointed
Albert John Jackson,
of Raglan, to be an Inspector of Sea-fishing for the purposes
of Part I of the first-mentioned Act.
