Notice of Meeting of Creditors.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 234 (2) of the Companies Act, 1933, that on the 15th day of July, 1939, the following extraordinary resolution was passed by entry in the minute-book under section 300 (1) of the said Act:—

“1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company accordingly be wound up by way of a creditors voluntary winding up.

2. That JOHN LOUIS CALLAGHAN, of Te Awamutu, Accountant, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.”

A meeting of the creditors of the company is therefore summoned, pursuant to section 300 (7) of the said Act, for Tuesday, the 25th day of July, 1939, at 2 p.m., at the offices of Messrs. McCarter, Preston, and Edmonds, Solicitors, Market Street, Te Awamutu.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Moved by Councillor V. Smith:—

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land as sites for workers’ dwellings and erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one sixty-fifth of a penny (1/65d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (based on the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Rangitikei, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of ten years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Seconded by Councillor A. D. Mair—and carried.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held in the County Council Chambers, Marton, on the 6th day of July, 1939, as appearing in the minutes of the said meeting.

MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RATE, STAFF HOUSING LOAN, 1939, OF £2,500.

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest on the Staff Housing Loan, 1939, of £2,500, the Murchison County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventeen-sixty-fourths of a penny (17/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the County of Murchison, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of September, in each and every year until the last payment on the loan is fully paid off.”

Point Howard Water and Sewerage Loan, £4,500.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
