IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened, and held on the 11th day of July, 1939, the following special resolution was duly passed:

"That whereas on the 24th day of June, 1939, the company purported to pass a special resolution to wind up, and whereas it has been ascertained that such special resolution was void from the beginning and it is desired to pass a good and valid resolution to go into voluntary liquidation; now, therefore, it is resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily and that ARTHUR SQUIRE ALLEN, of Frankleigh Park, New Plymouth, Company Secretary, be appointed liquidator."

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership known as H. J. Holm and party, between Louis John Anderson, of Cromwell, Hairdresser, Denis Joseph Deegan, of Cromwell, Miner, Edward Deegan, of Cromwell, Miner, George Clements, of Cromwell, Miner, Herman Joseph Holm, of Cromwell, Miner, and Walter Anderson Yardley, of Moa Flat, Farmer, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of March, 1939.

EKETAHUNA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, the Eketahuna County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (Β£1,000), authorized to be raised by the Eketahuna County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection of a house for the accommodation of an employee, the said Eketahuna County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fiftieth of a penny (1/50d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Eketahuna, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off."

THE OVERLAND DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE OVERLAND DAIRY COMPANY, LIMITED, Greymouth.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a properly constituted meeting of the above company held on the 8th July, 1939, it was resolved:

"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Messrs. Thomas Topliss, of Greymouth, and Edmund Windus Miller, of Greymouth, be and are hereby appointed the liquidators of the company."

NELSON CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION AMENDING SPECIAL RATE.

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Nelson City Council held on the 6th day of July, 1939:

"Whereas on the 24th day of April, 1939, the Nelson City Council passed a resolution making a special rate of eightpence and one half-penny in the pound for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of Β£87,200 to be known as the Electric Light and Antecedent Liability Renewal Loan, 1939."

And whereas such resolution was duly published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th day of April, 1939:

And whereas since the making of the said special rate the Governor-General in Council has varied the Order in Council by which his consent was given to the raising of the said loan by increasing the rate of interest that may be paid in respect thereof:

And whereas it is expedient that the said special rate be amended by increasing it so that the annual produce thereof shall suffice to provide the interest (increased as aforesaid), sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan:

Now, therefore, the Nelson City Council in exercise of the power vested in it by section 23 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1926, hereby resolves as follows:

"That the special rate hereinbefore mentioned be and is hereby amended by increasing the same from eightpence and one half-penny in the pound to ninepence and one-eighth of a penny in the pound."

CHANGE OF NAME OF COMPANY.

NOTICE is hereby given that Whitley and King, Limited, has changed its name to Clorogene Supplies, Limited, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

THE PORANGAHAU TRADING COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE PORANGAHAU TRADING COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 30th day of June, 1939, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:

"That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue in business and that it is advisable to wind up, that Mr. G. Ebbett be and is hereby appointed to preside at the meeting of creditors: That Mr. CLAUDE RICHARD WATSON, be and is hereby appointed liquidator."

At the subsequent meeting of creditors a further resolution was passed confirming the appointment of Mr. Claude Richard Watson as liquidator.
