A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine.

Defining the Middle-line of a Road in Blocks VI and VII, Te Mata Survey District—viz., a Deviation of the Napier-Wellington via Wairarapa Main Highway. [L.S.] GALWAY, Governor-General. By his Deputy, MICHAEL MYERS. A PROCLAMATION. IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of a road desired to be constructed over Blocks VI and VII, Te Mata Survey District-viz., a deviation of the Napier-Wellington via Wairarapa Main Highway-shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only the land situated within one chain from such middle-line. SCHEDULE. COMMENCING at a point on the existing NapierWellington via Wairarapa Main Highway opposite the south-eastern corner of Lot 4, D.P. 5308, Block VII, Te Mata Survey District, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly direction generally for a distance of 3 miles 775 chains, more or less, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c., viz., Peka Peka 2A 4 and 2A 2A Blocks; part Lot 2, D.P. 3616; waste land; Lot 11, D.P. 2718; Peka Peka 2B 4 and 2B 3 Blocks; and parts Peka Peka 2C Block; and terminating at a point on the said Napier-Wellington via Wairarapa Main Highway opposite the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 1455; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; all situated in Blocks VI and VII, Te Mata Survey District, Hawke's Bay Land District.
